  1. Gawn and Jackson are so woefully out of form it's not funny. The less said about May's brain explosion, the better.
  2. Love that Hibbo picked up a vote. He nullified Robbie Gray when he played forward and hasn't seemed to have lost any penetration in his kicking or much leg speed for that matter. I would not be surprised if there's a spot for him on our list for another year.
  3. Hard to go past Kozzy today 6. Pickett 5. Viney 4. Petracca 3. Jordon 2. Langdon 1. Hibberd
  4. Great performance by our backline. May and Hibberd in particular were rock steady and Tomlinson looked at home in the absence of Petty. Kozzy has been threatening to tear a game apart like this since his first year. Unreal performance.
  5. I'm stunned Melksham gets a gig over Dunstan who was recruited for this exact scenario.
  6. Salem hasn't looked right since his return. Missing simple kicks and simply not reading the play as he normally would. Hoping he picks up the pace again soon as we're a completely different beast when he's firing.
  7. Forget back to back, Ablett Jnr is the ONLY player to win more than one coaches award over the course of an entire career. Clarry will be in rare company if he continues this form.
  8. Definitely the best game I've seen Petracca play since the opening rounds of the season. He's been slowly building over the last few weeks but his explosiveness looks to be back in full force and most of his disposals were either constructive or impactful. Likewise Langdon, who hasn't quite been at his best since his return to the side after he missed a week with injury. Our defensive performance was unreal today. Aside from Walker in the first half, none of the Adelaide forwards threatened the scoreboard. I think I heard the commentators mention that we broke our own record for intercepts in one game and came close to knocking off the all time record. Hibberd took Rachele to school while Petty was one of our big winners in the air. Bowey also returned to some of his best form, operating at 86% disposal efficiency. Really loving the season JJ is putting together. Has an incredible work ethic and always looks cool in a crisis. Love that he's starting to shrug tackles to get into a better position to dispose the ball. His body strength looks to have come a long way this season. Also, Oliver is simply unbelievable.
  9. That looked like being a 10 goal drubbing at the start of the second quarter. Kudos to the Bombers (shudder) on that performance.
  10. Couple of good results for us to start the round with both Carlton and Sydney losing. Would it be asking too much for the Roos to knock over the Cats?
  11. Gee, Peter Wright knows now to kick a football. Bombers well back in this contest after a shaky start.
  12. One of my favourite Demons! He's had a quietly good season so far despite not tearing a game apart. Hopefully this is the weekend he comes out firing and kicks a bag of six or seven. Side note - He becomes the first player from his draft year to hit the 100 game milestone which is a terrific effort!
  13. Cheers again for doing these @The Mighty Demons. There's no doubt in my mind that these probably haven't been as fun to put out in the last month or so, so kudos for pushing through.
  14. Decent stat sheet for Toby Greene. 21 disposals and 7.2
  15. Some positive news, as I thought Cox was a sure thing...
  16. Goody on AFL 360 tonight is going to be fascinating viewing.
  17. Been a huge improver this season who has gone under the radar. I feel as though he's been a more impactful winger than Langdon over the last month. Ironically enough, his three best performances this season have probably come in the last three weeks.
  18. Credit to Michael Hibberd on his return to the team. Was written off by many but I feel as though he still has something to offer, even if his man in Elliott got off the chain late in the game.
  19. Agree. Not sure if it's form or injury, but something is amiss with Trac. Still had the 32 disposals today, but I can't say I recall any having a substantial impact.
  20. Out: Turner, M.Brown In: May, Weideman Need to give Weideman an extended run now and simply hope for the best.
  21. 6. Brayshaw 5. Jordon 4. Oliver 3. Petty 2. Petracca 1. Salem
  22. Petty couldn't have done much more today. Late effort vs Mihocek wasn't great but worked hard in the absence of May.
  23. Too beaten and bruised in that final quarter, and to their credit, Collingwood's ball use cut us to shreds. Going to be a long two weeks.
  24. Because the last time we debuted a key forward on Queen's Birthday worked out so well...
