Even at 32-33, his best football still stands as close to competition best. He and Xerri (who has been fantastic for North this season albeit W/L ratio) should both make the final AA squad. Hopefully Maxy still has a few years left in him as we continue looking for a protégé.

Has booted 5.5 from 8 or so VFL games. He's still only 18 and has been tasked to come in and play as a tall forward for a struggling VFL team without a full AFL preseason. He obviously hasn't set the world on fire so far but I'd be really surprised if we delist him at years end.

Rushing an undercooked Christian Salem back into the side while dropping two developing and encouraging defenders in AMW and Howes is a ripping move.

I'll hold judgement on McAdam until next year as he barely had a pre season. But yes, losing pick 27 (or thereabouts) hurts.

Not against getting Houston, but trading our future picks through to '26 could be fraught with danger. Tassie will begin to hit the draft from '27 onwards so we need to make the most of our picks between now and then.

You'd think either him or Riccardi would be gettable at years end. Their forward line is stacked, especially with guys like Cadman and Gruzewski now pushing for regular selection.

Most recent that I could find were 5 games he played for Casey back in 2021. Averaged about 23 touches during that stretch.

It's difficult to see Salem coming back in '24. I'd prefer to put him on ice so he can hopefully have a full pre-season and get more games into players like Howes and K.Brown.
