  1. Tomlinson giving TMac a lesson in body work at the moment. EDIT: Although as I post that, McDonald returns serve.
  2. May and Schache break even in a one on one marking contest. Schache does well to break free to chase and retrieve the loose ball.
  3. Viney and Trac nearly collide going after the same ball but stop at the last second, thus preventing the explosion that destroys all life on Earth.
  4. Watching Pickett burst through congestion is like a drug.
  5. Bailey Laurie has put on a bit of size since I last saw him in action. Hope he gets a chance this year. Not a lot of low bullet pass kicking from White so far. He kicks it quite high but typically finds the target.
  6. Some good kicking on display at the moment. Trac has his laser reticle working beautifully. Has absolutely drilled a few kicks. Bailey Laurie has put on a bit of size since I last saw him in action. Hope he gets a chance this year. Not a lot of low bullet pass kicking from White so far. EDIT: Although as I post that, McDonald returns serve. Seston shrugs off a Dunstan tackle to break clear. Dunstan looked like he was in a little bit of bother but seems ok now. Laurie with a very clever tap on to a running Deakyn Smith. Petty clunks a beauty against JVR. Lever very vocal in the back 50. May cuts off Petty's kick to Gawn and bursts forward, kicking to the advantage of JVR. Trac is winning every contest he's involved in. Looks set for a better of a season. Also, Viney looks more physically imposing and threatening than he ever has, which is saying something! The 'JV made me cry' thread is getting a few bumps this year I reckon. I saw Fritta on the bike for a bit in the open air gym area. Don't think he participated in anything else. TRACATTACK'S TRAINING REPORT KEV MARTIN'S TRAINING REPORT SLARTIBARTFAST'S TRAINING REPORT
  7. Anyone know why Viney has been wearing the #24 of late?
  8. His body seems to have held up ok over the last two seasons which have been the only two of his career where he's been able to muster 20+ games in a season. Fingers crossed he still has 2 to 3 good years left in him before the baton is passed to Turner/Adams
  9. Great watch! Forward craft, contested marking and a lethal finisher. Not a lot of goals coming from free kicks either. He works hard for his opportunities.
  10. Considering the lack of training reports today due to the closed session, for those interested, I'm working at the AO at the moment and Big Benny Brown is currently participating in the 'Glam Slam'. It's not much to go on, but he looks to be moving pretty well. Good forehand on the big man.
  11. Three strikes and you're out. I wish Harley well, but I would be stunned if another AFL club gave him another chance.
  12. Grundy marks within 50 after receiving the ball from Gawn. He nonchalantly turns around and snaps it through from 45 without a care in the world.
  13. Grundy wins round 2 against JVR but the latter's team win the clearance. Bowey cleans up down in defence with a delightful blind turn before finding Jordon with an equally good kick.
  14. Grundy v JVR in the ruck. Points go to JVR on this occasion who timed his leap to perfection.
  15. Pickett looks to playing more of a midfield role at the moment. Gawn with a beauty of a palm down to Kozzie who weaves his way through traffic to send the ball forward.
  16. Match Sim time. A more aerodynamic Ed Langdon with a ripsnorter of a ball to Viney who hands off to Lever who bangs it forward where TMac takes an impressive one on one mark.
  17. Grundy is ridiculous. Just ran half the ground after intercepting a ball from Rivers and slammed through a six pointer on the run.
  18. Has looked good from the pieces I've seen from him so far today. Took a couple of good one on marks in an earlier and has laid some strong tackles in the current congestion drill. Still looks like he could put on a bit of muscle though.
  19. Without wanting to sound rude, I just noticed Luke Dunstan and had completely forgot that he played for us.
  20. Some real tight congestion drills happening with half the main group. Bowey's evasiveness and speed a stand out.
  21. Not sure who #39 is but he has a accurate left boot on him.
  22. GrunDEE (still slightly odd to see him in Melbourne colours) impressive in some of his follow through work. Chased after and picked up a loose ball with the speed and grace of a small forward.
  23. Not to steal anyone's thunder, but I'm also having a lil' peek at training today. Defenders and forwards in the main group started off with some one on one forward drills where forwards would attempt to break away from their defender to mark the footy. Sesten impressive so far. Has broken even with Petty a couple of times and comfortably beat another of the new draftees. Gawn v Grundy a cracking match up with the skipper taking the chocolates with a ripping one handed juggler. JVR must've misplaced his new and shiny #2 guernsey in the wash as he is also wearing Grundy's #6.
