Trade Targets
Watermanโs manager is doing the right thing. Heโs put out the bait. Dees have probably bitten. Waterman is looking to cash in now on his good form. Itโs up to the Eagles to stump up the cash to keep him. Presumably heโll stay but itโs all like poker with some bluff and counter bluff moves.

Welcome to Demonland: Ricky Mentha
@ChaserJ yes a move into transition defence role seems to have been a good one.

Dees are concerned that we have May (2-3 years left), Tmcd (pending retirement) and Tomlinson (surely he says he wants to go as heโs been given limited opportunities and gets dropped on a whim by Goody). Adams hasnโt developed and whilst we have to be patient, finding a young 21-22yo defender as backup would be handy in the next few years. Iโd prefer Derksen who can play key forward or back, and might be available for a 4th round pick.

2024 TELSTRA AFL DRAFT COMBINE
Iโm amazed that some of these State Combine players werenโt in the National combine list of 65. Especially Zak Johnson and Kade Herbert, who are strong ball winners with good skills and are mids who kick goals. Iโd rate them in the 30-35 range. FIRST INTAKE 2024 STATE COMBINE LIST Zane Cochrane (Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro) โญ๏ธ 50-55 Sam Davidson (Richmond VFL/Vic Metro)โญ๏ธ 45-50 Lucca Grego (Western Jets/Vic Metro)โญ๏ธ50-56 Kade Herbert (Woodville-West Torrens/SA)โญ๏ธ30-35 Damon Hollow (Calder Cannons/Vic Metro)โญ๏ธ35-40 Zak Johnson (Northern Knights/Vic Metro)โญ๏ธ30-35 Nash King (Calder Cannons/Vic Metro)โญ๏ธ35-40 Ricky Mentha (Gippsland Power/NT)โญ๏ธ Mentha is an interesting one. I think the Dees would like him as a NGA cat B rookie. Definitely has talent. I think heโs shown good form since moves to half back to create and use his skills similar to a Shaun Burgoyne type half back. Also thought Patrick Retschkoโญ๏ธ and Bailey Mckenzieโญ๏ธ would be there, at least on state combine listing. Retschko. Strong mid/wing who resembles Trac in style and disposal. Had some excellent games this year even against top 10 mids. McKenzie. Super talented forward who can dominate defenders with his marking and goalkicking.

Predictionโฆ Waterman will stay at Eagles Allen will stay at Eagles Houston will stay at Port Thereโs a lot of player managers who put out this type of information and the media laps it up !!! itโs to get a better deal for their players.

COACHES VOTES: Round 20
Again the point. We lost by 2 points. A whisker. It could have gone either way. Yet only one MFC player Oliver got 1 vote (of the 30 votes available). Goodwin thought the Giants had the best 4 players , which is arguable, and Clarry got 1 conciliatory vote. Maybe it was the medication!!! Kingsley presumably gave all his votes to his players. The 4 blokes in yellow/lime also did well for the Giants, in the last qtr especially.

Part 9: Jason Taylor - Visionary or Over-rated - 2021
Drafting 10/10. JT. ๐๐๐ This was exactly what the Demonlanders wanted. JVR. HOWES. WOEY JNR. + AMW. ๐๐๐ Bonus was JT picking McVee in the rookie draft. ๐๐๐

COACHES VOTES: Round 20
Melbourne v Greater Western Sydney 9 Finn Callaghan (GWS) 6 Lachie Whitfield (GWS) 6 James Peatling (GWS) 5 Tom Green (GWS) 2 Brent Daniels (GWS) 1 Clayton Oliver (MELB) 1 Toby Greene (GWS) Kingsley. Give the Dees players more credit. Goodwin. Please!!! Surely youโre joking. Only Clarry deserved a single vote. And no one else? Rivers. May. McVee. Any of these could have got votes. Dees lost by 2 points. It was a nail biter !!! Could have been a Demons victory if ... well so many ifs. This coaches system is flawed. So many biased votes being given by coaches, except for our Goody!!!

My 3 word player analysis V GWS
@Redleg giants players moving on the mark was very frustrating. I called it a few times and was amazed we didnโt get a few 50s our way

CASEY: Rd 18 vs UWS Giants
Agree. Noah Yze would probably be a rookie listed father son pick. Has good AFL quality and had that competitive edge.

binmanโs rant (Goody defence)
That was the point. May on Riccardi. Why? Hogan is their main key forward. It was a mistake to put Tmcd on Hogan, and it was one of the reasons that we lost the game.

Isaac Cumming as a free agent. Iโd throw a 5 year deal at him. Keep the draft picks. Itโs a very strong draft this year.

VOTES: Rd 20 vs GWS
Really like the composure of McVee and Moniz-Wakefield. Lever and Tmcd made me nervous all night. Like they are thinking in slow motion. 6 McVee - composed and reliable 5 Langdon - runs and runs and runs 4 Rivers - great start and kept competing (plus put Bedford in his box ) 3 Viney - huge heart - great goal in 3rd but stupid free also given away - kept fighting it out 2 Oliver- seeing signs of his prior self Needs a big preseason 1 May - gives 100% always contests hard and kicks clear the defensive zone minus 5 Goodwin - too slow to realise Callaghan is a good player. Too slow to put May on Hogan. He left Tmcd on Hogan, who was out marking Tmcd for fun !!! minus 5. Bailey Fritsch. Laziest player on the team. Really lazy. Didnโt man up and doesnโt want to chase at all. Really needs someone to call him out. Memo to@binman
