  1. Josh Smillie. Wow. Super talented youngster. At the start of 2024, he was probably pick 1 or 2 for this years draft pool alongside O’Sullivan. 194cm midfielder. Great skills. Excellent overhead. Strong. Can kick goals. Easily kicks 50 metres. Hits targets. Tackles. A complete package. Wins clearances and drives forward with good metres gained. Dominated several Coates League games this year. Plays like Patrick Cripps. However he had an average national championships and missed All Australian selection. Still he’s a star and would be amazed if he slipped. I had him at pick 5 in my phantom draft so still potentially available for the Dees. Or he could go pick 1 or 2 still. It’s an even top 5/6 in my view.
  2. Rachele is highly unlikely. Not sure he’s right but clearly a talent. We need Sam McClure or Damo or Ralphy or Robbo or Sammy Edmund or Kane or Lloyd to say Rachele is homesick and wants out and has lost the support of teammates or whatever they conjour up !!!
  3. He’s definitely a smart player with very good decision making. Perhaps reminds me of Lachie Neale. Good endurance runner so should test well at combine. Accumulates the footy and creates. Has the footy IQ factor that puts him in the top 10 calculations ( I had him at pick 11 in my phantom draft 14/8/24). Kicking is not penetrating with kicks 35 metres and sometimes up and under. Tackling ok but bigger bodies in AFL
  4. Some good comments. With all this drama , saw this In the off season we need to recruit culture makers as well as skilled players. The loss of Gus, ANB, BBB is huge for our culture: aside from Max and Viney, I don’t see too many others who will put the club on their shoulders and say ā€œFollow meā€.
  5. https://t.co/5G3Dxjw5Nl Kozzie Pickett weighs up trade request as Demons’ year from hell gets worse media just loving MFC right now !!! but wait the content is … Melbourne’s year from hell could get even worse with star forward Kysaiah Pickett reportedly interested in exploring a trade for family reasons. Seven’s Mitch Cleary reported the 23-year-old told the club of his homesickness during his exit meeting with coach Simon Goodwin on Tuesday. However the report stated ā€œthe club and his management are confident they can work through his concernsā€, suggesting a level of confidence the Demons can convince Pickett not to officially request a move.
  6. Crows get ANB and MFC pick 51 Dees get Crows pick 25 and 42 that’s fair.
  7. If @timlamb trues signs Daniel, he should be sacked. He’s another small player who was handy but had lost pace and is not best 22 anywhere !!!
  8. Jesse. Congratulations from Dees supporters. Glad you can now smile and your talent has shined. Just wish it was in red and blue , not in orange and charcoal
  9. https://www.afl.com.au/news/1207084/barrett-brand-petracca-takes-a-hit-amid-superstars-silence Petracca has issues with Melbourne's operations, and the handling of his horrific injury on King's Birthday as well as perceived welfare failures after that day are at the forefront of his desire to exit. The Demons are far from blameless in this situation, for the off-field behaviour of some of Petracca's teammates has been out of control at times, even before the 2021 premiership. The ridiculous, constant and unconvincing denials of club officials of a flawed culture has made some issues far worse. But until Petracca was injured this year, he had been prepared to work with the wider problems in club operations. That he wants to not just leave the Demons but go to a big Melbourne club is a sign of the selfishness of which some have tired. Brand Petracca doesn't want to play for any club, just one of the very big ones.
  10. God Eddy looks so excited he can barely contain the smirk.
  11. Roffey was given one job, finding us a home. I’m waiting for her latest update !!

  13. Farrrrk. The club has leaks everywhere. It is like someone calls journalists and provides a transcript. MFC. SORT OUT YOUR [censored]
  14. Kozzzzy will now spend at least 2-3 months at home and start training late November. Dees have to be realistic that he will leave at one point as he looks after his family and community

  17. Yes. Had to be some action. Less words and more action.
  18. F is probably the right grade. Win v Port and v Cats v Bombers showed we still had the talent to be at the top. Yes some of the losses were horrendous and shown a flawed game style. Losses to Freo (twice) , Pies (twice) and to the Eagles were low points. Though we lost 4 games by 5 points or less. Blues, Giants, Port and Lions. All teams in the finals.
  19. Brandan Parfitt - any interest ? 26yo inside/outside mid Always seemed to be very good when I saw the Cats. Not sure if it’s injury or poor form that meant he was on the outer at Cattery.
  20. I think he was definitely on the outside looking in. Seemed Goodwin didn’t rate him. He was too good for VFL and showed ability as key defender role. Unfortunately he would be dropped quickly where we had a loss despite his form. He should look elsewhere. Suggest Kangas would be his best option. Good luck and thanks Tommo
  21. 1- Tigers. O’Sullivan or Smith 2- Kangas. Trainor 3- Eagles. O’Sullivan or Smith 4- Crows. Draper 5- Dees. Langford šŸ‘šŸ»
  22. 4December2023 THE LEADING prospects of next year's draft class will get a chance to show their wares at the top level with training stints at AFL clubs. As part of the AFL Academy program, the 2024 draft hopefuls have been allocated to AFL clubs to train with over the pre-season to give them an insight into the weekly structure and demands of an elite program. Who is training at your club? Adelaide: Sid Draper, Tyler Welsh Brisbane: Levi Ashcroft, Sam Marshall Carlton: Ben Camporeale, Lucas Camporeale Essendon: Jobe Shanahan, Archer Day-Wicks Fremantle: Bo Allan Gold Coast: Leo Lombard Geelong: Jonty Faull Hawthorn: Xavier Lindsay, Josh Smillie Melbourne: Harvey Langford North Melbourne: Finn O'Sullivan Richmond: Tom Gross, Jagga Smith Sydney: Joel Cochran West Coast: Malakai Champion Western Bulldogs: Sam Lalor
  23. Yes yes yes. Spot on. Lack of vision is clear. Need to get Caulfield training base happening and permits etc asap.
  24. They weren’t wanted by their clubs. They were all happy to be shown the door. Billings and Hunter were salary dump players who’d signed on for bigger $$$ then were playing 2nds footy. We took them in !! Strangely McAdam seems to be one player we actually chased and offered a 3year deal and crows got our 2024 2nd round pick. What a stinker of a deal.
  25. Tim Lamb surely should have been sacked. He had better have a good trade period He has brought in rejects Billings, Schache, Hunter, Fullarton and paid overs for McAdam 1. Don’t touch pick 5 2. get 25 and 42 off crows for ANB 3. no soft players any more !!!
