  1. Jagga Smith is likely to be the number 1 now. Was a standout today v Rebels. He’s only knock is size but guys like Sam Walsh show that movement and gut running makes up for that.
  2. All I say is DITTO !!!
  3. Tough draw. First 3 games versus teams in last years top 4!!!
  4. Checked this team v team played in last years finals. They having lost 8 players from last years finals team. It shows now !!!!
  5. Stingrays outclassed today. Hard to match the mids of the Dragons. āļøHarvey Langford. Again showed he’s going to be pick 1-5. Very good overhead. Wins contested footy. Kicks 50 metre easily. Reminds us of the Bont. Only knock is he’s defensive game. Zero tackles. Didn’t look interested in working hard without the footy. Such talented youngsters need that ability too. (Funny moment. Commentator saying he is ā€œ likely to be drafted top 40, in fact top 30 or probably top 20ā€ā€¦ touch of the Kelli underwood calls…!!!). āļøCooper Hynes. Tough day but is a hard worker in close. Tackled strongly. Will be early second round pick. Dees might be a very interested team. šŸ‘Harrison Doughton. I’ve seen him 4 or 5 times now and he has impressed. Mid sized onballer. Tough day versus dragons elite but he held his own. Good decisions. Competed hard even though overwhelmed.
  6. Wow. Dragons simply too good. Too many stars. Midfield stacked with young guns. āļøLevi Ashcroft (32 possessions) will be pick 1 or 2. Lions are so lucky. āļøMurphy Reid. Reminds me of Lachie Neale. Smart player. Quick hands. Kicking was better today. āļøSam Marshall. Another Lions academy player. Definitely top 20 pick. He has that smooth ruck rover midfielder style. šŸ‘Nat Sulzberger. Tassie boy. Matched it with his peers. Taller mid. Tough in the contest and had good skills. Won the inside footy and distributed. šŸ‘Luke Kennedy. In my view, one of the most underrated young players. Plays like Andrew Brayshaw. Gets the footy. Tidy skills and good overhead. Covers the ground. šŸ‘Harry Oliver. If you want a tough skilled half back, then Oliver answers the brief. Reminds of Nic Newman type. Excellent skills and competes hard. Will be top 25 pick. Likely around 23-27. šŸ‘Bailey Mackenzie. 6 goals. Smooth versatile half forward/forward. Like Bailey Fritsch, he knows how to kick a goal. Will likely be a bargain pickup around the 4th round selection. šŸ‘Harry Armstrong. Only the one goal but he’s already shown he’s going to be a very good player. I think he’s still a 12-15 draft pick and will go 1st round for sure. * whilst not eligible this year, Jack Dalton again showed his class as a left foot wing/mid. His delivery into the forwards was excellent. Will be closely watched next year as he moves into a central mid position.
  7. Correct. [censored] you ZORKO
  8. Correct. Taylor being pushed by Daniher under pressure and that’s called deliberate!!! FFS. Umps don’t cost you the game but they do have some influence.
  9. Ummmmm. Gotta hate the Lions !!!
  10. HOGAN !!!
  11. Zorko 🤣🤣🤣🤣 fail !!!
  12. Bedford doing a good job on Neale. Held to 11 disposals.
  13. Good call. Zorko is a piece of [censored] imv. Just a [censored].
  14. Bedford to Hogan šŸ’”šŸ’”
  15. Hogan. Hogan. Hogan. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
  16. Peatling. His $$$$ keep going up !!!
  17. He’s definitely going to be a player. He’s had 3 years in the system and bulking out. At 21yo, now he’s in line behind Omac (30) and he’s gone past Fort. Smith debuted this year. Contracted to 2026. Lions wouldn’t be letting him go. He’s better than Verrall or Fullarton imv.
  18. There has been a few but I would agree that 90% end up being delisted again the next season for a second or sometimes a third time!!!

  20. Problem is they were the number 1 team after round 8 for the year. And they have no retirements and a lot of young players on the upwards trajectory. It’s hurting because we all still HATE THE HAWKS
  21. spirit of norm smith replied to adonski's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Macrae is a NO. He’s now slow and still kicks up and under. Dogs know he’s in the decline. Has years in contract at big $$&. It’s NO !!!
  22. HAWKS. Watch out in 2025 they add Will Day Mitch Lewis Josh Battle Tom Barrass Cam McKenzie they’ll be top 4 contenders next year 🤬🤬🤬
  23. 4 goals 8 behinds 5 out of bounds. 22% accuracy rate. His disposals were poor. Kicks it 30 metres. Surely we have Throlstrup play the half forward role ahead of Billings. I’d even prefer now that we are surprisingly keeping Sestan to give him a chance to play.
  24. @Whispering_Jack thanks WJ …thought I’d switch this also in this thread Smythe on bigfooty has put out his Top 40 picks - 1 Sid Draper 2 Finn O'Sullivan 3 Jagga Smith 4 Levi Ashcroft 5 Sam Lalor 6 Luke Trainor 7 Harvey Langford 8 Josh Smillie 9 Murphy Reid 10 Tobie Travaglia 11 Joe Berry 12 Leo Lombard 13 Jobe Shanahan 14 Xavier Lindsay 15 Taj Hotton 16 Bo Allan 17 Alex Dodson 18 Isaac Kako 19 Jack Whitlock 20 Alix Tauru 21 Harry Armstrong 22 Sam Marshall 23 Harry Oliver 24 Tom Gross 25 Matt Whitlock 26 Hamish David 27 Lachie Jaques 28 Jess Dattoli 29 Cooper Hynes 30 Harry O'Farrell 31 Christian Moraes 32 Ben Camporeale 33 Angus Clarke 34 Kayle Gerreyn 35 Noah Mraz 36 Jonty Faull 37 Tom Simms 38 Adrian Cole 39 James Barrat 40 Tyler Welsh
  25. Agree with Riccardi. It’s a shame we could not grab him when he was starrung in the VFL. There is plenty of absolute ā€œyesā€ players to be named. Could name a dozen more easily. Of course their contract status (contracted) and then attracting them is the issue. Even out of contract players are not attracted to MFC now. Thats what makes the Tom Barrass switch to the Hawks so interesting. He’s contracted at eagles until 2027 yet the hawks are now likely to get him in for next year. They must have a big $$$ contract and long term contract in his face.
