  1. please compare MFC v the Lions performance over the period 2012 to 2014... 16th 17th 17th but NO PRIORITY the AFL is seriously a joke
  2. wow. One player per year from your zone pre draft appears reasonable, given a club would spend $$ on the game and player development. 2012 Lachie Whitfield 2013 Zak Jones 2014 Jack Lonie 2015 Jacob Weitering 2016 Josh Battle 4 players to top clubs each year or any such rubbish was not mentioned.
  3. Vickery is a [censored]. Lazy and poor attitude yet thinks he is a top footballer. Pass. Let Hor-thorn have him.
  4. Tom Downie with pick 64 is a good punt. He is more of a Ruckman and backup for Gawn.
  5. Jack Hannath. Delisted today by Freo. Either a late draft pick or rookie. Some romance to a second chance given Freo stole him away back in 2012
  6. Victorian clubs should get access to the best player in their zones. Make it pre draft and let the clubs decide. All clubs could be allowed one choice. It would definitely reward the development time and $$$ spent. AFL NEEDS TO SHOW ITS A NATIONAL SYSTEM.
  7. Yes just read on MFC website. Sensational news. Thanks Jesse. Lets unleash hell in 2017 !!
  8. I think the Dees will get 3 picks in the draft after trade/DFA opportunities. Likely picks are 46, 64, 82. 3rd round Brandon Parfitt ...NT pacy smart indigenous mid Darcy Cameron... WA 20yo big agile gialkicking CHF/ruck Brody Romensky... Jets. tall agile ballwinning ruck-rover/HB Oscar Junker... Jets. gun 3rd tall 192cm smart special forward Hamish Brayshaw...Dragons. brother of Angus. Leader, smart half fwd/mid. Willem Drew...Rebels. running mid/wing. Ballwinner inside & outside Louis Cunningham... Chargers. highly talented HBF with Dal Santo like accurate left foot disposal Jeremy Goddard...WA. big 202cm ruck who can rotate as a forward 4th round Josh Begley... Ranges. big bodied 187cm 93 kg foward/mid (Petracca like quality). Kicks goals and has AFL ready frame Sam McLarty... Chargers. key back. Courageous abd never beaten. Lachlan Walker... 19yo Chargers... running mid/HBF. Physical type. Lachlan Tiziani...19yo Bushrangers Smart 3rd forward who kicks goals. Luke Breust like ability around goals 5th round or rookie smokies Dan Allsopp ... Stingrays. Smart very fast small forward. Runner up in Morrish medal. Bailey Morrish ... Stingrays. Has the pace and skills to succeed at afl level. Perhaps Johanissen like. Jack Henry...Falcons. smart 188cm mid tall who gets around the ground to many contests. absolute punt Patrick Lipinski... Knights. smart 188cm medium forward. Special skills
  9. I rate Salem highly and if he is fit for the pre season period, he is one of the first picked in our best 22. Salem has the skills and toughness to be a major boost in 2017 with Hibberd on the other flank.
  10. if you feel down, its because you want the Demons to win one desperately... desperately... like us all.
  11. FREE kicks 15 to 4 in BULLDOGS way
  12. What wins Grand Finals put your head over the footy tough play and discipline tackle like you mean to lock it in smart forwards kick goals effective disposal critical need multiple star midfielders lucky bounces
  13. ??? Clayton Oliver ??? Surely Jayden Hunt should have been in the sprint. Go bulldogs
  14. Agreed with the thinking... but logic and fairness don't seem on the AFL agenda. Forgot to mention that Jacob Weitering would have been our draft zone pick in 2015!!
  15. With the Swans having Mills and Heeney in their GF team and being two definite rising stars, can we again question the uneven playing field. The Swans got the extra living allowance of 10% to "retain players" which then allowed them to recruit Tippett and Franklin. Now the Academy for the Swans and Giants offers them access to the best talent as long as they match the bid. WTF!! Jacob Hopper is another rising star for the Giants and will be a star of the comp by 2018. How do they get such a bonus above and beyond salary cap concessions (albeit these are being dialled back). If the AFL truly wanted to even the competition, let Melbourne FC nominate players from the Dandenong Stingrays for the draft and then be able to match a bid. Josh Battle is a definite top 8-10 draft selection and would be ideal as a big bodied key forward with a thirst for a contest (plays like Jake Stringer). But no, MFC could not get such access via a bid match process. I wonder how long it is before the system is again questioned as currently it will allow the Swans and Giants to stay strong or indeed get stronger despite being at the top of the ladder.
  16. Matt Jones was on the edge after 2015 and had to keep fit and fire in 2016. It did not happen. He had pace but ultimately his disposal, decision making and tackling were lacking. Thanks for your service but we move on.
  17. Great news. Still underrated and strangely maligned by some on Demonland. He is an essential player as we push into the top 8 bracket. Good to see him at the Brownlow. He is the classy type that compliments Viney, Oliver, Brayshaw, Jones & Petracca.
  18. come on Jesse. lock in to 2021. 4 year extension for $3million. Dees will have a premiership by 2021.
  19. Use 2017 2nd round on Motlop ... pick 40 ish !!!
  20. Lamb is hugely talented but his work ethic is not up to standard. Only consider as a delisted free agent or draft pick 81.
  21. now... Dawes - trade / delist either Dunn or Garland - trade / retain Newton - delist JKH - trade / retain Michie (rookie) - delist Max King (rookie) - delist Wagner and White to stay on rookie list. Aim for Hibberd, 1-2 DFAs and maximum (minimum) of 3 draft picks.
  22. Good NEAFL player but lacks size or speed or skills. Gets the footy and bangs it forward. Not many other midfielders taking his votes away. Not recommended.
  23. Hoskin-Elliott... NO NO NO
  24. Yes this proves there is no loyalty or justice. I thought Jack Grimes may have been given one more year or be given a chance to be traded away for a late draft choice. It is sad to see him delisted after such a promising start to his career. His disposal was just lacking and not up to the faster pace that is required in todays AFL.
  25. Matt Jones has run and spread but his kicking is poor over 25 metres and he misses too many tackles (like Howe). At 29 he is not getting any better. Very good VFL player.
