I actually agree with Damian Barrett for once. Dees need to push again for Lewis. Up the pressure on the Hawks. They cannot afford Mitchell and OMeara and Vickery without cuts. Lewis to Melbourne makes sense.

I think getting Lewis would have been an absolute coup. (And might still be if the Mitchell deal doesn't work through). Lewis is a leader. His ability to lift under adversity (like Hodge) has carried the Squawks over the line, including finals and Grand Finals. His inclusion would have been another key to getting up the ladder into the finals and in the big one. We move on ... (I had to raise the separate thread.)

If only... Jordan Lewis would (IMO) definitely had lead us to finals in 2017. Who else might be tempted to the Dees?

Sure Mitchell has a connection with Simpson but he has a young family... moving across the country would be hard. Does any other Victorian based club see an opportunity here!! Jordie is a great bloke with a determination for the contest. Great to hear that he won Nth Adelaide B&F. Not surprised as he excelled in the VFL. His skills and decision making let him down for AFL.

Likely to go to Freo around pick 22. Very much like Josh Gibson. Left footers appear to be more skilled. His rebound and ability to cover defend is very attractive in todays game.

I thought Shaun Edwards was unlucky to be delisted by the Bombers. He has twice starred against the Dees... once for GWS and once for Essendrug Fc. He has pace. Aggression. Goalkicking smarts. Handy wing half fwd type

I played tennis with his dad as a junior at Wellington Tennis club. He was a star and very humble. Lots of fun. Always enjoyed a laugh. The family was wonderful and Olivers grandfather Reg was a great bloke always smiling. Oliver is top 20 quality. I think the Hawks at pick 14 would be great but they will need that for pick O'Meara or Tom Mitchell. Olivers dad was a keen Hawks man. Bulldogs would be a nice location at pick 18.

Tom Downie is a gettable option. He is in right age bracket for MFC. 23yo. 200cms 99kgs. Benalla boy. He gets physical and has agility to go fwd if required.
