2016 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
spirit of norm smith replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
Jeremy Goddard is the big young ruckman from WA. Likely to be available at 40-50 range. For pace, Bailey Morrish from Stingrays is our best bet at 45-50 range. Plays half back but is suited to a wing once he develops. -

Small indigenous player is Dan Allsop from Stingrays. Lightning quick. -

47, 69, 84... not high strike rate so Dees would be happy to take a punt on all. Darcy Cameron will be gone by pick 40. Here is a group of 45+ draft possibles: Ruckmen... Jeremy Goddard (WA) Key backs... Sam McLarty (Chargers), Jack Maibaum (Ranges), Declan Kielty (Casey) Running backs ... Bailey Morrish (Stingrays), Louis Cunningham (Chargers) Mids... Hamish Brayshaw (Dragons) Jack Henry (Falcons) Utilities... Brodie Romensky (Jets) Small fwds... Liam Ryan (WA) Dan Allsop (Stingrays) Midsize fwds... Lachlan Tiziani (Bushrangers) Patrick Lipinski (Knights) Josh Scott (SA) Tall fwds... Karl Brown (Knights) -
Lynden Dunn ... thanks and good luck. Always gave 100%. Always friendly and helpful at family days and social events. Great bloke. Deserves more opportunities for AFL action. Glad to see him land elsewhere.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - PATRICK MCKENNA

Cost us nothing. Had 2 years to settle into AFL life. Will play at Casey then see how he develops. Can play forward or back. Another from the Giants factory. -

Darcy Cameron will go around 35-40. Will not get past Freo at 40. Agree I had Zac Fisher around 40-50 but may slip due to size. -
Surely Dunn and pick 59 for Pies pick 47.

2016 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

SANFL Player to look for is Josh Scott. 21yo. Former Lakes Entrance boy and Gippsland Power. 3 years at Glenelg. Won their 2016 B&F. Goalkicker, can take a good mark. Moved into midfield and backline when needed in 2016. Like Jack Watts. 190cm 82 kg. Needs an AFL preseason but worth grabbing at 50+ or as a rookie. -

Agree Ryan has looked super impressive this year. He does some special things that make him AFL quality. Needs more consistency and exert more tackling pressure to step up to AFL (he gets pushed aside too easily). -
Lewis is a leader. He accumulates. He does the 1%s. He gets to the contest. He kicks goals. He is smart. He has the skills. His not fast but gets it to the runners when needed. His next 3 years will be as important as any, and don't discount his influence on developing our young mids Viney, Petracca, Oliver, Brayshaw and Salem.

Yes JT needs to weave some magic at picks 50+. It can be done ? -
Thanks. I will recheck with my Russian maths tutor.

Agree 100% I was thinking how the Hawks picks could be used. GWS needs points to get Perryman and Setterfield. They will command attention from clubs with selections 6-10.

2016 Player Review - # 19 Ben Newton
spirit of norm smith replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree to delist and then rookie Newton for 2016. He is too good for VFL but needs a big pre season to jump into seniors. Clearly has the talent.
