He should be around picks (excl nga/father sons) 17-25. Interesting to see what Dees do if he is available. I think we will call him out if he’s available.
  2. Kangaroos logo- how do we remove that??
  3. Valente is the same speed as Salem, Brayshaw & Harmes. Not a jet but not slow. Definitely top 20 rated for me. His efficiency in disposal does remind me of Salem.
  4. I’m sticking to these for a good draft. Though Duursma is pushing up the draft to top 15-18.
  5. Chayce Jones at 10 (too low), Luke Valente at 28 (too high) and Ely Smith at 31 (way too high) were surprising. Bedford at 34 would be too early for a nomination. He’s fast and skilled but needs 2+ years development.
  6. Delisted free agents apparently can be signed anytime virtually in November. It’s right up until about 29th November.
  7. I like it. With this years pick 19, MFC have a better chance at Bailey Williams or Liam Stocker.
  8. Again mentioned as likely draftee. AFL website article lists Lockhart and Corey Wagner. Both has excellent year at Casey.
  9. AFL website journalist Ben Guthrie has produced his listing on players within SANFL, VFL, NEAFL and WAFL that could be drafted. Noted Demons could be interested in Hayden McLean, 19 yo from Sandringham VFL and previously Sandringham Dragons U18s. Definitely one to consider if we miss out on drafting in Bailey Williams. McLean was unlucky not to get drafted in 2017. Forward ruckman who provides ruck relief. Could be a very handy backup for Weid/Tmcd. I think Dees offer him a good chance to develop in AFL environment and maybe a few games in 2019.
  10. Lockhart is probably pick 85-90 or rookie selection.
  11. It’s does appear to be all clubs shifting to the notion of loading up in the super draft
  12. Fair question. Need to ask every year about bringing Andrew Brayshaw back to Victoria. But the Brayshaw family also has strong family ties in WA so need to prioritise keeping Angus Brayshaw.
  13. I agree also with Kade Kolodjashnij. Potential to be a very very good addition.
  14. AFL website nominates players to watch in 2019. Sam Weideman is rightly the one to have to stand up. He will be given the role and has to grab the opportunity. I think he will. Others noted are Joel Smith and Jayden Hunt both of whom need a good run free of injury. Oskar Baker and Harrison Petty are the youngsters named. I think others really are - Billy Stretch. Showed his ability to provide run and delivery but toe injury killed the 2nd half of 2018. He has a wing position there to take. - Christian Petracca. Yes the Trac can still get better and better. He must impact for longer and assert himself. Looking for A grade in 2019. - Jeff Garlett. Jeffy can be the one to make a difference and take us to the top. There will be the chances if he has the renewed will and desire. Talent is unquestionable. - James Harmes. Proved himself in the 2nd half of the season. A full year at that standard would be sensational. From the injury front, Viney and Vandenburg should be hopefully ready to have full seasons. Of course, we should Jake Lever back, if not for Round 1 then by rounds 3-4 onwards. Gawn, Oliver, Brayshaw, Tmcd, Jetta, Melksham all had great years and hope they keep fit and maintain the standard. There is still plenty of upside in many others. #1 in 2019.
  15. Big footy phantom draft has Dees choosing Bailey Williams and Jacob Kennerley. Both would be welcome additions.
  16. I saw the kid in 2017 play v Dees at the G. Looked a good prospect as a likely running wingman. He was a good junior. I didn’t see the Lions in 2018. Just a thought.
  17. Jacob Allison is a young talent. Lions have delisted but will promise to add to rookie list. Not sure if it is frowned upon, but surely he is now available as a delisted free agent. He is the type of wingman and link player that MFC needs. Tall 6”3 midfielder with pace and is a good kick. Just a thought.
  18. Yes draft catastrophes is a much much longer list
  19. All quiet. Media must be disappointed in the delisted free agent action so far. Clubs seem to be banking on getting 5-6 picks in this super draft.
  20. Good mail still about Ely Smith. Has the competitive spirit and contested footy. Good pace. Physically ready to play. Played 2/3rd in Vfl for Collingwood and he looked very comfortable.
  21. Smoky is Harry Reynolds, Brighton Grammar. But that’s now a fire. Ffs
  22. Watched McHenry on 3 occasions live. Not even in Vineys league for toughness, build or kicking length. McHenry is a Gresham or Spargo type.
  23. Footy ability. Athleticism. Big body. Think Paddy Ryder type. Would be a steal at 23.

Twomey has him at pick 10. Not in Buckenara’s best 30. I have Clark around 14-18. Will get snapped up by Eagles at 20 or 22 in a heartbeat.
  25. Nick Rippon is clearly better than VFL. I keep seeing Kane Lambert in the AFL and wondering why Nick Rippon is ignored. Rippon could make a difference and at 91 would be worth a punt.
