  1. Yes not sure Buckenara has been to Specsavers!!
  2. Kicking is 35-40 metres at best. Carbon copy of Spargo and could not see both in our future 22. Might be top 25 rated but not the best available tonight for MFC.
  3. Not sure he lasts to pick 23. Still think he would at least get the Tigers pick 19 or Giants pick 21.
  4. Hayden McLean training with the Saints. I’m a believer he fits our needs and could develop into a very good AFL player. Ruck forward type. One to watch.
  5. Still amazing he missed Jordan Clark. Maybe he’s hoping the WA Eagles grab him!!
  6. Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. Runner. Pace. Skill. Would not be disappointed if we used 23 or 28 on Mckenzie.
  7. I still think we will grab a delisted free agent. Though no news of who is likely.
  8. Keep thinking Bailey Williams is more likely to be gone by our pick. Lots of teams after his style of player. Ruckman and key forward. Paddy Ryder type versatility.

Unbelievably not in Buckenara’s top 30. Pace and skill. Definite top 20 player. Would be a steal if available at 23
  10. Afl.com.au has our needs matched to Jake Neade for more forward pressure.
  11. Wishes 23- Xavier O’Halloran (Bailey Williams, Ely Smith, Sam Sturt, Chayce Jones) 28- Xavier Duursma (Tom McKenzie, Sydney Stack) 54-Joe Ayton Delaney (Jacob Kennerley) 62-Toby Bedford *NGA 91- our smoky (Frank Anderson, Nick Rippon, Mitch Lewis) Rookie #15 Matt Hammelmann/ Hayden McLean/ Lachlan Waddell/ Hudson Garoni (Ruck/big forward options) #33 Jay Lockhart
  12. We’re back to our potential 23 and 28. In order of my preferences Ely Smith Bailey Williams Sam Sturt Xavier OHalloran Chayce Jones Xavier Duursma Tom McKenzie Sydney Stack I think these are the likely available and best options. Though might get a Zak Butters and Liam Stocker who could drop. Unlikely but you never know.
  13. Best available at 23 and 28 and then balanced for needs at 54,62,91,rookie.
  14. 7 father sons or academy zone selections here in top 30. I still think Ely Smith and Tom McKenzie are top 30. Jordan Clark, Sydney Stack, Riley Bowman, Jez Mclennan, Sam Sturt and Jarrod Cameron also unlucky to miss this list. Thats top 38.
  15. Yes I think we will go with round 1 (assume Lever out injured) Jetta. May. Hibberd Lewis. Frost. Salem Kolodjashnji. Viney. Brayshaw Petracca. Weideman. Melksham Garlett Tmcd Hannan Gawn Harmes Oliver Int- ANB Jones Preuss Fritsch depth (Lever) Omcd Wagner Keilty Petty Jsmith depth mids Stretch Maynard Hunt Baker depth fwds Vanders TSmith Spargo Jkh 36 on current list
  16. We have 9 MCG home games ; with 5 big games incl Sydney; 3 v interstate ; 1 v Sml Vic club 3 MCG away 2 Interstate home games 2 Etihad (marvel) both away 6 interstate/hostile (Cats) away games (7 interstate trips - 2 home, 4 v host state, 1v host club nthmelb) no trip to Adelaide!!
  17. We play over 6 days Monday afternoon 1 Wednesday night 1 Thursday night 1 Friday night 3 Saturday afternoon 6 Saturday night. 4 Sunday afternoon 5 And mystery round 23 = 22 matches A mixed bag. Not too bad. Some 9 night matches.
  18. Yes I remember the 1994, 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2004 years. Even 2006. The promised land was said to be within our grasp only to miss the finals. We have a tough year. I have us at 15 wins so around 4th/5th.
  19. Sorry. Hs firewall
  20. Not the worst idea going around. He’d be backup for Jetta or Hibberd in my opinion. Mostly Casey but handy to call up if needed.
  21. Just read that Jones could be rated top 10-12 Geelong likely at pick 12. Maybe someone like Liam Stocker might slide and still be there at 23.
  22. Lockhart will get a late draft call up or rookie chance. Dees could use pick 91 (probably be 83-85 after other teams use picks for academy and father/son point needs) or a rookie pick for Lockhart.
  23. Still pondering 91. The 100-1 shot. Obviously need to see how many picks we will use. Waiting until we see which potential delisted free agents we may sign. If we get O’Halloran, Duursma, Ayton-Delaney, Bedford, we would have got the pace and run, so we need some height. Some older types for ruck/fwd options would be Matt Hammelmann (Redland) 21 yo or ruckman Lachlan Waddell (Old Scotch) 22 yo. , though both could be rookie options
  24. 8 places left on our list. 6 main list + 2 rookies. Space for 1-2 delisted free agents. With picks 23,28,54,62,91 there should be at least 1 free agent to be seriously considered.
  25. Defenders Thompson. Harbrow. Day. Hanley. then just fillers. Sam Day is an A grade type key forward/back and must be wondering why he is left at the Suns
