  1. It’s an echo from me
  2. Good call. He is better than most of the Top picks imo in the thin-highly compromised draft next year. That’s why I like the swap with Kangas
  3. Agree. Perhaps with 6 spots to be added, it’s at least 2-3 delisted or free agents and 3-4 draftees. Might even grab a VFL/WAFL/SANFL player with our pick “97”
  4. 50/50 call here. Assume he wants Multi year deal but I’m not screaming out
  5. Fritsch will be a required player. Should get a 3-year deal if his 2020 replicates his last half of 2019.
  6. Just my opinion so put away any arrows, bullets and darts. These are options. small forward option - Ben Keays (x Lions) 22yo had a ripping NEAFL year but couldn’t crack the Lions midfield. tall forward option - Callum Moore (x Tigers) was behind Lynch and Riewoldt but is a good mark and handy backup key forward. (also still like Buzzzzzzza for the fans screaming out his name ) running midfielder - Connor Menadue (x Tigers) is a skilled quick wingman who delivers the footy and kicks goals. Again behind a few quality players in the Tigers middle. Whilst not delisted (could still be by thevSaints) Jack Newnes is out of contract and presents the best option as a strong running mid. Not sure on Nick Robertson. Good lockdown tagger type to play tough unsociable footy. Could be handy to stop others key midfielders. Im not a Sam Murray fan as his pace is good but ball delivery is poor. We apparently got rid of Frost for this.
  7. Kemp will be an option for Crows and Swans. Agree Swans may see the huge upside in waiting 12 months and get a potential superstar quality type. Without too much pressure, this kid is a potential serious A grader.
  8. I see in another post, there is voting on our picks 3 & 8. Voting update now has Young and Kemp as our preferred options. That’s my call from early days. I see Young playing in about 7-8 games next year and being managed. I hope JTs strategy to get pick 8 was to land Kemp before he becomes one of the big clubs bargain buy. Hawks & Cats at 11 and 14 would think its Xmas if he got that far. Sure we’d wait until 2021 but he’s got qualities not often found. Speed. Size. Power. Goalkicking. Mid or forward. Dangerfield like.
  9. Waiting to see some action here. Clearly a good fit and given the arrival of Hill and Jones, his opportunity at the Saints would be very limited.
  10. Suns get access to Darwin. Bingo. Now they get direct access to a talent pool where the Riolis and Longs originated. Why not just give them 4 games each year as a headstart!!
  11. Lamumba was a risk. Volatile at Pies due to his ego and we took him. Lever for two 1st rounders was a risk. Mitch Clark was another risk. We do take risks.
  12. It was a flaky and misinformed article. Soft journalism imo
  13. None appeal so far. Maybe Wylie Buzza but only because of his name.
  14. Still need the class. The midfield needs a Judd, Buckley, Martin, Voss, Kelly, Pendlebury type player. I’m after the Dees somehow having a star. An absolute star. Not since Robert Flower have we had a star of the competition and he was battling against the odds. Hoping to see one emerge shortly.
  15. We have 6 spots available by my calculations. Aim for 2 delisted free agents or out of contract players. Need to get some more depth as last year showed we are lacking this.
  16. Young can also play Wing as well as half back. In fact would prefer him developing as a wingman as he could direct accurate passes inside forward 50 which is one of our greatest deficiencies
  17. Agree. It’s how many feel. Tired of negative posters. I bit more respect.
  18. A good call. But he got the combine call up and tested to a high standard athletically so given that, I’d expect him to go at or around 60. He is the type we need. Quick. Quick. Quick.
  19. Exactly. Ditto. Agree. I think Kemp is a Dangerfield type who don’t come up too often. I’m all for the risk of taking Kemp at 3. If he was injured he would have pushing up to Rowell/Anderson as likely no.1 pick. I can understand choosing Hayden Young at pick 3 (4- depending on pick swaps or nominating Tom Green) as he is the type of ball user we desperately need But if Kemp was available at 8, you CANNOT pass him up. Simply too good. Tall. Fast. Great kick. Midfield. Goalkicker. Sure you have the wait out 2020 while he recovers but huge huge upside for start of 2021. He would be (on form at national championships) into our best 22.
  20. Yes agreed.
  21. Ben Keays might be worth discussing. Had a great 2018 but behind Charlie Cameron. Now available after Lions delisting.
  22. Actually thought if Zak Jones was coming back to Melbourne town, he’d have chosen us. Saints must have the secret sauce as the new DESTINATION club. With a fistful of $$$s ?
  23. Gould is a gun like a Shannon Hurn type. Runs. Strong. Great kick. I have him about pick 9-10 in the draft. Probably may drop to Power at 12 (Carlton likely pick Ash at 9 and Freo pick Luke Jackson at 10. Hawks likely to pick Deven Robertson at 11.

Can’t understand why we had availability in salary cap for Langdon and Tomlinson and an offer for Elliott. Given Elliott stayed at the Pies, I’d presume we would have the $600k-year over a 3 year deal availability for Martin.
  25. Top 10 1&2 Rowell and Anderson pick 3 Tom Green (Dees should nominate him if we don’t get the required pick exchange ) 4- Young 5- Kemp 6- Serong 7- Stephens 8- Flanders 9- Ash 10- Gould others like Weightman but I have him around 18-20. I’m a wrap for Jeremy Sharp from WA. Another WA kid who might fly under the radar because he’s not in the NAB league focus. Already playing seniors. Could go at 14-15 imo. Deven Robertson is also a gun from WA and likely picked as a top 12 player.
