  1. Then it’s LANGFORD!!! Surely !!!!
  2. Tauru. Prefer to get him at 9 (like an elite midfielder at 5) Marketing team would love Tauru “here comes the Demons on the G”… Viking horns roaring !!! Tauruuuuuuuuu
  3. O’Sullivan could go at 1 or anywhere down to 6. He’s a star though. Lots of AFL qualities. If it’s a choice of Smith, O’Sullivan or Langford. it’s like choosing between a BMW, a Porsche and a Mercedes. Any choice would be excellent !!!
  4. Agree. That’s a fair player comparison for Jagga !!
  5. https://afl.shar.estori.es/go/clip/959cc9b5-6416-a8cf-32b5-3a163f11ec6f?collectionId=2024-draft-clips just a refresh on his talent
  6. It would be a very very tough decision to make. It seems likely though it might come down to the Dees having to make the call. Either Smith or Langford would be an excellent choice. Both have many AFL qualities. Smith is a definitely a classy player. Smart. Skilled. Footy IQ. However I’m leaning towards Langford given he is more versatile and perhaps more seen as ready to go. Physically can play midfield or (with his extra height and marking) he can drift forward or indeed play even across half back. I did like a statement made on an earlier post. With 5 & 9 “from a Demons point of view (my club) - any two of Lalor, Draper, Langford, Smith, O'Sullivan, Travaglia, Shanahan, Allan, Reid or Hotton I would be happy with”. It sums up the depth of talent and the many different pick options and choices for JT. In JT we trust.
  7. On repeat cycle … I’m looking at 5 Langford but if Langford was gone and O’Sullivan was available, it would be still be a good outcome for the Dees !! 9 Travaglia but if TT was gone, then look at Allan, Reid or Lindsay Top 20 players in this draft are high quality. Even potential later first round picks like Hotton and Hynes are excellent selections.
  8. 5 Langford most likely (Lalor unlikely to be available… nor is Draper.. might be able to get OSullivan ) 9 Travaglia (or Allan, Reid or Lindsay if TT is gone) 79 if the MFC wants to go with a last pick … who has a funny name … perhaps on the list is Gabriel Stumpf or Jett Hasting or Oliver Depaoli-Kubank !!
  9. Yes … if Travaglia is gone. Lindsay is class. Dees would love his classy disposal and he’d add “forward connection” (something we miss !!!)
  10. Except Kalani might just love the family life, his mates and the GC sunshine. it’s a tough deal to beat!! Really hoping the Dees impress him during the pre Xmas trading. Maybe he can sign up to board with the Brayshaws!!! .
  11. I’m looking at 5 Langford 9 Travaglia but if Langford was gone and O’Sullivan was available, it would be still be a good outcome for the Dees !!
  12. If if if …Lalor then Tauru as 1,2 and Ashcroft as father son to Lions. Draper potentially going to the Blues … ouch. That might see Crows grab Langford…ouch. So it means FOS or Smith. I’d jump at FOS. I’m seeing O’Sullivan as a very very good prospect. He’s smart. He’s classy. He’s got that elite move in space and frees his hands like Pendles to avoid tacklers. He showed during VFL upgrade that he can handle the pace and physical pressure. Sure he’s not a Bont or Dusty type. More like a short LDU. He’d would be more than welcome
  13. Get ready ….
  14. That’s a roadkill of a draw !!!
  15. Hawthorn to get seven primetime slots in the first 16 weeks - four Fridays and three Thursdays
  16. AFL is turning MFC off in any prime time timedlots. It will quickly favour the Hokball Hawks. The appeal and playing style of the Hawks captured the media, the AFL, Battle & Barrass. Time to re-energise our playing style.
  17. Dees have room for 3 senior list additions. I think Dees will use 5,9 and potentially add 5th round draft pick OR save for a train on player to be added under the SSP.
  18. It’s ridiculous… “unbelievable” is an understatement!!! Not to be even in the 42 named squad. Highest rated forward in AFL Fantasy with 85 average. In AFL website AA team as a Half Forward. Strong stats across disposals, goals, tackles and clearances for a forward. Her impact was huge. Clearly the selection panel didn’t see many Dees games !!!
  19. Agreed. Kate Hore had one of her very best years. Above average in most KPIs and her leadership was outstanding. Clearly AFLW Dees are not in the sweetheart group right now.
  20. Judd McVee and Jake Melksham will be promoted to the senior list in 2025.
  21. Will the Dees trade out our future 1st 2026 draft pick to get into the 2025 1st round!?!?!?!?!
  22. I’d like to see the Dees pickup a youngster with the “last draft pick”. We should have the place on the list available. There is talent all the way through even in the 4th round/ late 60s. Definitely like to give JT a stretch assignment and roll the dice …
  23. we would love Lalor to fall to “5”… but it’s unlikely He has all the skills and strength and smarts to go pick 1 … it’s just his injury history that will be in the minds of the Tigers recruiting team
  24. Agree. Keep 5. Keep 9. Two aces … so at 5… imv Langford. As per my many posts, he’s definitely shown strong consistent footy and offers the size, skill and endurance required. He’s got so many AFL qualities and is local lad. it’s likely he is available at “5”. If not, then it means options may include Draper, Smith or O’Sullivan. so at 9… imv Travaglia. Just like his competitive nature. You can’t teach intensity. He’s got the energy to succeed. Run and carry. Can develop as half back and then move into a midfield role. if he’s not available, then Allan, Lindsay & Reid are other options. Not sure we see Smillie as an option. I think we will look for two midfielders. Armstrong and Shanahan are good key forwards however our list imv needs a midfield refresh. All youngsters within this years top 12-15 will be very good. There is a lot of talent.
  25. Love that time slot. Almost nostalgic feel !!!
