And i think he's going to be a great get for them at pick 3. he seems to have a lot of attributes for the modern game in that he's tough as they come and a contested beast, but has the ability to be damaging on the outside as well. I definitely see a potential brownlow medalist in Horne. which really says something about how good the other two must be.

No i hadn't but totally get it, if you watch him play his evasiveness and sidestep are elite, reminds me a lot of Petracca. Daicos and Darcy must be super human if they're considered better than this kid.
  3. No change. a positional change i'd consder however is giving Jayden Hunt some stints forward at times,

West Coast are in a world of hurt, but i wouldn't be surprised if the Hawks start tanking now! they're really keen on young Horne

The way they're playing at the moment they're no guarantee to beat North, or anyone else for that matter. even if they did sneak into the 8 the team that plays them should feel like it's Christmas
  6. There is something to be said for being ahead of the curve in terms of what the umpires are really focusing on, and being able to disguise things so you don't get caught as often. Not sure how they get away with the throws though, the Umpires definitely know they do it. they just seem to get a free pass.

Mate, you'd have to do some serious digging to find the last intelligent thing he said, i'm pretty convinced he's a troll, because i don't think anyone could get it so wrong, so consistently by accident.

It does seem there are a few teams from 6-12 that are hitting decent form, could be a few upsets in the run home. I expect the ladder to finish 1.Melbourne 2. Geelong 3. Western Bulldogs 4. Brisbane 5. Port Adelaide 6. Sydney 7. West Coast 8. Richmond/Essendon/St Kilda
  9. It does feel like now Weids leaving would be a win-win for us, though i'd suspect we won't get anything like the value in a trade for him that we might like Got to back Ben Brown in now though, he hasn't played a huge amount of footy in the last 2 years really, a good run at it and i reckon he'll be back to his best by our rd 19 game against the Suns.
  10. Tipping he will be very handy for us in some big finals this year, he's a smart guy, and he makes T'mac 500% better
  11. I actually really enjoy the commentary of Leppa, i hope he's someone we'd be considering as a potential assistant coach, he really seems to understand the game well, and can explain it in a way that would make sense to people even as simple as Port Adelaide supporters.
  12. I thought his other goal on half time was a bit of a christmas present as well Dazzle. May tackles him, he drops the ball and then May gets pinged for holding the man.
  13. I'd go with. Lever, Oliver, Petracca, Gawn May would be stiff to miss but there are some really good full backs this year
  14. I find it really interesting Goody coaching from the Bench, it really says a lot about how he coaches, but also how much he trusts the coaches in the box. i suppose it's handy having the likes of Adem Yze and Alan Richardson up there
  15. you're giving Port fans too much credit, i doubt they're even capable of thinking.
  16. No change i wouldn't have thought, if Nathan Jones were fit, i wouldn't mind seeing him come in for Harmes, better ball user and more clean/one touch. Harmes needs a negating role or he doesn't seem to play as well, wouldn't mind seeing him run with Mitchell or O'Meara and maybe Viney the other. It's great to beat Port but we simply can't afford to drop any of our games against the Hawks, Suns or Crows. we need at least those 3 wins to feel pretty safe in top 4. if we can win 1-2 of the other 3 games happy days. On tonights form we probably go very close to winning 5 or more of our remaining games. potentially all of them.
  17. Harmes always has been a little fumbley but my read is that he is going to need to become a bit cleaner and more one touch in the next 7 weeks to play anything other than a tagging role. I don't mind us having 2 negating roles per game in Viney and Harmes, but Harmes just looks a much better player when he's tagging to me, seems to get a bit lost when he's not.
  18. Viney did a good job, Wines didn't have near the impact he has had in games. it's a good role that suits him, and the midfield overall seems to have functioned really well tonight. 18 clearances between Oliver and Petracca is ridiculous. James Jordan is nearly the best tackler i've seen i reckon. Trent Rivers is a ripper, he's so brave in the air, probably doesn't get the hype of Jackson and Pickett but gee he's going to be a very good player
  19. 6. Petracca 5. Petty 4. Salem 3. Oliver 2. McDonald 1. Gawn
  20. Round 16 and we've not been outplayed at any stage this year in my opinion, our losses are when we are down, out system hasn't been beaten. we're going to be very very hard to beat come finals
  21. Big chance of a smashing here given how we run out games. Port will be getting told to lower their eyes though, if we adjust to that we should win this game comfortably

    Geez Ben Brown is stiff.
  23. Not sure Mumford or Flynn are good enough to run with either of our boys, or good enough to go forward and be a huge threat. think we're going to have a big advantage in that regard. the midfield battle looks pretty even, stars on both sides. how we manage Toby Greene this time will be the key i think, he's the real danger man. if we can keep him under control we're in a much better position to win
  24. The really impressive thing is, i've spoken to people involved at AFL land, and they all said about Jackson that he had incredible talent, but he'd take time, i don't think even the MFC expected this sort of output so early, and that's scary. this kid could be anything

I think Harmes needs to become a full time tagger, he seems to understand his role and play better if he has a really clear task for the game.
