POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
I find it really interesting Goody coaching from the Bench, it really says a lot about how he coaches, but also how much he trusts the coaches in the box. i suppose it's handy having the likes of Adem Yze and Alan Richardson up there

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
you're giving Port fans too much credit, i doubt they're even capable of thinking.

CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
No change i wouldn't have thought, if Nathan Jones were fit, i wouldn't mind seeing him come in for Harmes, better ball user and more clean/one touch. Harmes needs a negating role or he doesn't seem to play as well, wouldn't mind seeing him run with Mitchell or O'Meara and maybe Viney the other. It's great to beat Port but we simply can't afford to drop any of our games against the Hawks, Suns or Crows. we need at least those 3 wins to feel pretty safe in top 4. if we can win 1-2 of the other 3 games happy days. On tonights form we probably go very close to winning 5 or more of our remaining games. potentially all of them.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
Harmes always has been a little fumbley but my read is that he is going to need to become a bit cleaner and more one touch in the next 7 weeks to play anything other than a tagging role. I don't mind us having 2 negating roles per game in Viney and Harmes, but Harmes just looks a much better player when he's tagging to me, seems to get a bit lost when he's not.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
Viney did a good job, Wines didn't have near the impact he has had in games. it's a good role that suits him, and the midfield overall seems to have functioned really well tonight. 18 clearances between Oliver and Petracca is ridiculous. James Jordan is nearly the best tackler i've seen i reckon. Trent Rivers is a ripper, he's so brave in the air, probably doesn't get the hype of Jackson and Pickett but gee he's going to be a very good player

VOTES: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
Round 16 and we've not been outplayed at any stage this year in my opinion, our losses are when we are down, out system hasn't been beaten. we're going to be very very hard to beat come finals

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
Big chance of a smashing here given how we run out games. Port will be getting told to lower their eyes though, if we adjust to that we should win this game comfortably
-
TEAMS: Rd 16 vs GWS
Geez Ben Brown is stiff.

What they're saying in Grand Parade aka Giants Stadium
Not sure Mumford or Flynn are good enough to run with either of our boys, or good enough to go forward and be a huge threat. think we're going to have a big advantage in that regard. the midfield battle looks pretty even, stars on both sides. how we manage Toby Greene this time will be the key i think, he's the real danger man. if we can keep him under control we're in a much better position to win

Luke ‘dogga’ Jackson rising star favourite
The really impressive thing is, i've spoken to people involved at AFL land, and they all said about Jackson that he had incredible talent, but he'd take time, i don't think even the MFC expected this sort of output so early, and that's scary. this kid could be anything
-
CHANGES: Rd 16 vs GWS
I think Harmes needs to become a full time tagger, he seems to understand his role and play better if he has a really clear task for the game.
-
TEAMS: Rd 15 vs Essendon
I'm pretty confident he will Daz, i think the bye has probably helped a few players dealing with Niggles (I'm assuming that's the case with Max)

TEAMS: Rd 15 vs Essendon
Max Gawn and Luke Jackson are going to make the Bombers rucks really work hard. it'll be interesting to see if they're able to go with them around the ground. I quite like the mix that's going on without the extra tall, i'd imagine there is a likelyhood that Viney spends a good amount of time forward

NON MFC: Rd 15 2021
Geelong need to settle down and not get sucked into the fight. they are getting enough field position to be much closer than they are
-
What they're saying down at Windy Hill
Mark Neeld that one, he's got his eyes on a return to coaching, passing messages to his old mates at the Bombers

5 Trade Targets for the Dees
Oh god ?

Trade Targets
Caddy is an awful footballer. my 5 year olds fish has a higher footy IQ than Josh Caddy

Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023
I'd give him another year i reckon OD, mostly because i can't imagine we'd get enough in a trade to make it worth moving him, his value was a lot higher when we weren't giving him a game haha
-
Trade Targets
Sounds like GWS and GCS are going to get raided, teams eyeing off players from both sides already, not sure who we'd want from those teams but i imagine both will lose a couple this off season
-
Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023
I certainly wouldn't be offering Weid up for trade unless he's desperate to leave, i don't think he's best 22 right now but i think he show's enough to persist a little while longer on the list if possible
-
Trade Targets
With you Dazzle, if the Pies agreed to less than a first rounder i'd be worried they knew something we didn't.. he's a gun, and would cover the loss of Hibberd when he retires perfectly, but i'd imagine we'd have to be very crafty at the trade table to get it done.
-
Trade Targets
What on earth are we going to trade for Brayden Maynard?
-
Our next captain
Jake Lever will be our next captain in my opinion. Max probably holds it for a while yet though. It's great that Tracs leaderships is developing to the point he's in the conversation though

Trade Targets
It's pretty ordinary. especially given they aren't a serious finals contender or anything, you'd definitely hope to see a bit more care shown for players, especially because every player always wants to play, but the club has a bit of a responsibiltiy to pull the pin if they're pushing through too much
