  1. Get the feeling the Lions are the most in form team in it at the moment, Cats last 3 they're 1-3 and only fell over the line against the Saints, we're 4-0 and in good shape injury wise and should beat the Lions but i see them as our biggest threat. I think we can feel confident against anyone else
  2. Goody has got to be coach of the year doesn't he? a team most predicted to win finals finishing with what 17 wins, minor premiership I'd also nearly pick Max as the AA Captain to be honest, i'd say it's him or Bont
  3. Could be a few Dees in the team. Max, Clarry, Petracca, Lever all just about certain Fritsch, Langdon, Salem, May and co all huge chances as well
  4. Not too sure on the inclusion of Smith? guessing they have a very specific role in mind for him, but i personally would be going Hibberd, i feel like we've potentially lost a little bit of our rebound through that selection, and given how important it's been for us, i hope whatever they have in mind for Smith helps us.
  5. The Tactics of Geelong this weekend will be really interesting because they'd know that Tom Stewart being out is going to present a problem, and they'd also know Max and Jacko are going to dominate them as they basically always do in the ruck and around the ground, i reckon they'll try and turn it into an in tight arm wrestle and make it really hard for both teams to score. it'll be really interesting to see how Chris Scott, imo one of the best game day coaches in a long time, approaches cracking our defense with some really important players missing from their side
  6. Brayshaw is having a very good year based on the role he's been asked to play.
  7. I look at the Eagles and see a team that's right on the edge of a re-build, i hope we're having a look at any Vic boys over there who might be keen to come home. i'm sure they've got a couple.
  8. I'm less worried about that than i am about meters gained from clearance, if they're winning it, and getting it in deep consistently, out game plan supports us locking it in there and getting some scoring chances. parker is definitely a good enough kick to hit up a lead though, if someone did manage to get some seperation. in saying that, i can't see it happening.
  9. 100% on the Luke Parker band wagon, i imagine the Swans will prioritise their young core.
  10. Agree with that, Pettys Development gives me confidence that in 2-3 years time when Steven May steps away we could potentially have another elite key back to take his place and hopefully keep a premiership window open.
  11. The one i am really interested in is Adam Tommlinson, seems like a great guy, and played some good footy before injured, but my gut feel is Petty has gone past him, he looks so good in the AFL side now, do we have another role for Tommlinson? could we play all 4 down there given Tommlinsons mobility? a player i would be interested in looking at is Tom Lynch from the Crows, i think he'd help inside 50 connection, and be an upgrade on Mitch Brown as a fringe/depth forward, has some leadership qualities and finals experience as well.
  12. Nah, not best 22
  13. Bit of a culture shock seeing WCE Eagles supporters.. it's amazing how one team can attract so many average human beings.
  14. Nailed it, Hibberd is the logical replacement for Hunt (assuming he doesn't get up) Bowey looks so impressive, i imagine he's got that spot for the rest of the year now
  15. He looks like he's grown in confidence with his marking, suddenly has a huge presence up forward!
  16. Just because someone is a taller player doesn't mean they should be afforded x amount of time by default, Max from his fourth season was trending upwards in a very clear, and obvious way. we've not seen that with Weid, he's still doing the same things as year 1
  17. 6 Matches is not enough, i am of the view that if a player makes a comment like this they should be given a zero strike policy, they should be sacked on the spot. AFL players carry a responsibility to be role models and how many feral Adelaide Supporters, and wider supporters (Collingwoods entire base) will now think it's okay to say things like this because Tex did
  18. I think there will still be a clear focus on winning, knowing we've got the pre finals bye as well. for example if we "Rested" a player, they would miss a round, then the finals bye, and then if we won the QF they'd miss another week. i think we'd be looking for continuity as much as possible. Honestly i'd almost prefer to lose the QF because i think missing 2 games in quick succession has seemed to throw teams off at times
  19. This could be the most important game in our recent history, because winning would lock in top spot, with 2 weeks to go, but it would also break a trend of us losing to teams we're expected to beat, when the whips are cracking and hurting our overall season at the very pointy end
  20. I can't see our boys actually considering West Coast a bad team, and i expect us to come out really hard and put them away early. the way this year has been going we will beat WCE and Geelong and lose to the Crows
  21. I agree with you, i think even just the look of the incident itself is enough that they'll have to suspend him. i'm not expecting anything too crazy but i think best case he might be back for the Cats game
  22. Hang on.... West Coast supporters can talk!?
  23. we're good enough to beat Geelong in Geelong. or anyone, anywhere for that matter, i don't think any team should hold any fear for us. especially if we get the next 3 weeks right
  24. Stupid Stupid thing to do by the Vice captain when the team is trying to find form and continuity heading into a finals run, especially when he himself isn't in great form and needs to string games together. Will get weeks, deserves them, and should feel like he may have cost himself a spot in a top 4 team because with any luck James Jordan will come in and lock in his spot.
