I reckon they should carry on and suspend the investigation at the point of handing out infringement notices, I reckon they would rather the public see the case they have, know they aren't just bluffing and that way even if the investigation becomes invalid, the damage it would do to the image of the club and it's standing in the league would be far more devastating than it already is. I reckon ASADA will get their man eventually.

Young Russel seems to be a pretty solid player, could play a lot of different positions but probably doesn't have the talent to stay in their side long term when he is competing with 22 blokes who could all be superstars i'd take him off their hands instead of the second rounder.

I really like this idea! If I was Roos, I'd be talking to Gold Coast about trading picks 4 and 24 for picks 11, 15 & 31. I'm sure GCS would like to move up in the draft and consolidate their talent, especially having to trim their list further as it shrinks, while we still need to bring in weight of numbers. Of course, this is all Gold Coast would be a good fit for a icing on the cake type player like Pickett trade 11 for Jake Carlisle trade 15 for Mitchell suddenly a compo pick has seen us replace Chip with a better defender, and add a really good midfield prospect to the list i'd probably then use pick 3 on Petracca knowing Trengove and Hogan will come back in and basically be like new players as well

Is Tom Mitchell as valuable as Frawley or the Compo pick? probably not imo does Frawley want to play for Sydney/can Sydney afford him? surely they can't... why would Sydney give up Mitchell for a bloke they could pick up for nothing

I don't think it lends to well to Kids who admire the players and having so many moving clubs so much more often I think takes away from that, but I understand why it needed to come in from the players prespective In Chips case I probably wouldn't mind it purely from a planning point of view, if we knew he was leaving and we'd get Band 1 we have an extra 10 weeks to plan who we might draft, who might be on the table during trade week and so on, although I think they would have a reasonable idea by now anyway.

LOL Zac Jones has not looked as good as Bontempelli, Kelly, Billings, Salem, Kolojashni, Aish, we haven't seen Scharenberg or Freeman and Boyd looks classy but can't get a look in Jones looks solid but it's not correct imo to say he has been anything like as impressive as some of the above boys, go back and watch the game when Salem kicked a couple of goals and had 18 touches or whatever, every possession oozed class.

Every Essendon supporter says to me " ASADA have nothing, if they have evidence why haven't they used it?" I just reply with, the percentage of show cause notices that become infractions is stupidly high, meaning they don't issue them without evidence, and ASADA won't show their hand until after they answer the show cause notices that they are so intent on avoiding. I would have thought Danks comments alone would be enough to charge the club and the players based on the balance of probabilities?

I think you will find a whole lot of these lesser known players will re-sign in a flurry once the status of Chip and Tommy Mac is confirmed

The old saying Saty, you're only as good as your last game. It's interesting I think there is a difference between taking a stance on a player and being critical of something a player does, Jack Grimes is a perfect example, I rate him as a player/leader, love his courage, workrate, does the team things, reminds me a little of corey Enright but he makes some horrible decisions at times and posters only see those, they don't look at perhaps at that contest he was the only player who worked hard enough to get the ball in the first place. but I really don't think criticism is a bad thing, obviously when you are a bottom four side there are going to be some players that need to be moved on, the team is going to have flaws and so on

Again I say, Dom Tyson and Jack Viney, Jay Kennedy-Harris, Christian Salem, Dean Kent, Tom Mcdonald are all under 21 and making a difference Nominations are irrelevant imo, we don't need those to tell us our young list is on the improve

I know it's not going to happen and it's obvious why but I really liked what the Storm bloke did, announced last week he had signed a new contract with another club but the rest of this year he was 100% committed to the Storm

I reckon instead of the priority pick clubs should be able to recruit a 17 year old like we did with Hogan and develop them for 12 months in addition to their pick, with free agency compo and priority picks its all a mess

Andrew Gaff is OOC at the end of this year, i'd offer him a good contract to come home, and our second rounder and steak knives, he is not worth our first rounder in my opinion.
