  1. I am tipping a win by the Dees, because I believe on the G we will be tough for them to beat, having said that I don't think they will be so concerned about Petracca that they would sacrifice momentum, and the 5 wins that would be their best ever season, I think the Giants will come hard
  2. I agree, I think Hogan is the best of them, because I think Hogan is the only one besides Cameron that could settle into CHB if we needed and become a quality defender, he has the speed and so on to play multiple roles where as Patton, Boyd and McCartin imo are more stay at home forwards
  3. Just watching the interview with jonothan patton after reports the bulldogs are going to offer him a 5.5 million dollar 5 year deal, he looked as gone as gone can be to me, hopefully the Giants are worried about hanging onto him and turn their attention away from Cameron just in time for us to swoop in they have all these players who look like potential superstars and I reckon they know some are going to leave.
  4. I reckon this is a good point, they reckon players reach their peak between 26 and 28, how many players on our list are in that bracket? Garland, Dunn, Jones, Dawes?
  5. I am not disputing the players right to not self incriminate, rather the manner in which Essendon are planning to use that to stop ASADA re-gathering evidence. I am of the opinion Essendon have left the integrity of the game in tatters and are trying to get away on a technicality rather than own up to their own mistakes
  6. I can't fathom how little could suggest it should be swept under the rug, surely if Middleton saw that it could change his decision if he was going to rule in favour of essendon He said during the trial, " I couldn't make any ruling in your favour without certainty the same information could be reaquired legally, as a matter of public interest this needs to be resolved fairly." Little has since said he wants it swept under the rug and young said the players wouldn't answer questions in further interviews that might self incriminate Disgusting EFC
  7. Basically, because they are such high picks they should be capable of significant improvement, that doesn't always mean they are, this theoretical. There value would be based on what they could be in theory not what they are, or have shown
  8. The other thing I find interesting is the doomsday vibe they seem to be thrusting on us, I think its been a Much improved year with good indications after another change over and pre season we will be in a good position
  9. Brayshaw is quite good on both sides and pretty handy in traffic, I reckon he's gunna be a good player and very consistent Petracca is more talanted but I think he's going to be a burst player Might be Nathan Jones vs Dustin Martin
  10. Trengove and toumpas have far too much theoretical upside to trade for a bad pick, watts and grimes might fetch a better deal I think our attacking game suffered because of our skill errors and Hogan being injured
  11. Robbo is probably just passed out somewhere
  12. I reckon nev would be the first selected each week, fast gaining the respect he deserves
  13. Essendon's lawyer said that the if Essendon win this trial the players wouldn't give up the same evidence in interviews the second time around this is a blatent attempt to get off on a technicality by a weak gutless mob of idiots, any respect for the Essendon football club is now gone, they are a begging child I hope Middleton see's this for exactly what it is and overlooks any potential minor Issues from ASADA's point of view and allows Essendon football club to get what's coming to them
  14. Do essendon have any chance?
  15. Very impressive combination of speed and endurance for such a young man easily his most impressive attribute, he also has great footy smarts which I think is very important for that type of player
  16. Yeah, I think that it was partly Jesse's idea to do things this way, he is giving himself every chance to come in on top of his game and show everyone why there is so much Hype I was told Jesse has some fairly old family members who wouldn't have been able to make the trip so debuting in Perth means they can make it along which I think is pretty special, great of the club to facilitate things this way for Jesse
  17. Thanks for replying Redleg, that's very helpful! with a very limited knowledge of the legal stuff it's quite difficult to follow, would it be fair to say Essendon are going with a scattergun approach and hoping if they hit every element of the investigation they are bound to eventually find a hole?
  18. my info is that Jesse will make his debut against West Coast infront of his family if he gets through this game okay. Roos and Mission basically told him he could play this week but strongly encouraged him to have a week at Casey first He's essentially been ready to play for a couple of weeks but the club is not willing to take any chances
  19. Young QC questioning whether Parliament would have intended that AFL would be an "entrusted person" under ASADA Act to whom evidence from investigations could be disclosed I would suggest that the leaders of the relevant sporting body would and should be included in this
  20. Closing submissions have just begun
  21. To the lawyers of Demonland I have a question when Mr Middleton makes his decision after the trial will the case against Essendon be a consideration? in the sense that if he rules in favour of the bombers he is essentially letting them off on a technicality despite something terrible that caused them to be there in the first place? I personally can't see how this could be resolved unless ASADA is allowed to hand down show cause notices, the public will just continue to say, they are drug cheats, they got saved by a technicality
  22. Basically just said on AFL 360 there is no way Asada can win this case, all this has proved is that the organisation was ill equipped for an investigation of this magnitude and then went on to say apparently the former CEO said an ASADA lawyer had expressed concerns over the AFL being present at Interviews and if it was a valid Investigation
  23. Would we recruit him as a forward or a ruck more so? I rate him as a ruckman, not as much as a forward if we went with Wright we would have to be very accepting of the fact this kid could take 4-5 years as some ruckman seem too
  24. Watched him first hands and in that game his attack on the ball was Viney-like, I was there with my father and some mates and we all commented on how hard he was going at it, mind you at the time we had no idea who he was thank god for the footy record
  25. Very confident mccartin and Petracca are more likely than Wright
