I have said it multiple times, as long as James Hird is at the club they can't begin to move on from this saga -

Straight swap for Sam Blease? -
Doubters of Garland need to look at his 2013 form, a good pre season and I have no doubt a lot will chance their tune

Even if Carlisle misses a season he would still only be 23 and a bloody handy player, we should throw some dollars under his nose -
i disagree entirely, i think we are trying to attack but the skill errors and the fact three of our four best forwards have hardly played there or not at all makes it hard to score we went into the season thinking our forward line would have Howe, Watts, Hogan, Clark and Dawes in it, that hasn't panned out but if it had and we improved our defence this much i think we would be on 8 wins and this would be an obvious success we can defend well now, next we learn to move the ball and Hogan will help a lot will our issues up forward. throw Hogan and Clark into our side and we wouldn't have lost to Stkilda, Port, the doggies, the suns, Brisbane at least, that's 7 extra wins, and the extra confidence we would have had might have meant more.

His good mates with Joel Selwood too, i reckon Geelong would make a call, Hawthorn need to sure up their midfield, so they would too,

Jake Carlisle, David Zaharakis and Cale Hooker would be nice -
Personally i think throwing a massive pay check at one of Dangerfield, Sloane or Walker and with any luck we might rattle one loose
-
I'm telling ya, if we haven't improved by the end of next year, i reckon he will seriously consider his options, teams will be all over him if he even looks remotely gettable
-
They were talking last night on telly about how he didn't have a great pre season either and it was kind of scary what he could produce as the team improves with a couple of solid pre seasons behind him, I reckon hes a fantastic get

There were similar rumours early in the year regarding Jake Carlisle, perhaps he is another who would be worth getting in the ear of, bloody good get if we could snag him for nothing -
I think it's time for Paul Roos to pull out his magic and land us an A grade player, we have tons of cap space with Mitch and Frawley probably gone, we will more than likely have two top five picks to trade we should target a superstar with big dollars and a long term deal not all players are as loyal as they seem and massive dollars under their nose will get their attention in my opinion so I reckon we should have a serious dip this time around
-
I'd suggest there is a difference between a cup of coffee between old friends and meeting the coach and senior leadership group, and Geelong have a history of this, they landed in Adelaide last year to meet with Boak before the season had even finished which caused a massive uproar from Port the radio station may be way off in PJ been annoyed about it, but I think they are correct in the idea Geelong might if all this is true be pushing boundaries
-
Can't find it reported anywhere but I heard last night that Peter Jackson is very unimpressed with Geelong, apparently Frawley has met Geelongs leadership group, Chris scott and several others from the cats personally already, which is not supposed to happen until either his contract is up or the free agency period begins, apparently something similar has happened with Jarrod Rivers. heard this on the radio but can't remember the exact station, if true it would be interesting to see what would potentially come of it, not that it would stop Chip going there or anything but I think next year Geelong should be excluded from Free agency if they actually haven't followed the rules.

When you consider the already massive legal costs associated with this whole saga, the damage to the organisations reputation and the fact the club is finally pushing for finals, a year out of the game for those players would be massive, even if Essendon could still field a team it surely wouldn't make it out of the bottom 4 and the members would all be choking on their own words given how hard they have defended the club from anyone who called them cheats. -

It's interesting to think that out of all those managers not one has thought, perhaps it's in our best interests to get out of this club and look to take a deal, it's hard to believe. -

Now theres a point, the lions could have said if you can get out of your contract, and guarantee us no more than a 6 month ban then here is a massive pay rise to join our drug free club -
My best guess at the first round would be 1.Stkilda - Patrick McCartin 2.Melbourne - Christian Petracca 3.Melbourne - Angus Brayshaw 4.GWS - Sam Durdin ( I reckon they want a key defender and despite his injury is a serious talent ) 5.Brisbane - Peter Wright 6.Bulldogs - Caleb Marchbank ( heard rumours they may take him a little early and love the look of him ) 7. Carlton - Tom Lamb ( Waite and Casbault rumoured to be leaving they need a forward target ) 8. Suns - Liam Duggan 9.Crows- Jake Lever 10.Eagles- Jarrod Pickett 11.Pies-Darcey Moore 12.Richmond- Jayden Laverde 13.North - Paul Ahern 14.Port - Jordan Degoey 15.Freo- Hugh Goddard 16.Geelong- Lachie Wellar 17.Hawthorn- Corey Ellis 18.Sydney- Issac Heeney I believe we will get stretch as a third round pick because no team will risk a player like Ahern or Laverde slipping down and them missing out if we call their bluff in the first round MFC second round pick - Brayden maynard, Roos wants blokes who bleed red and blue and has expressed a preference to draft mids and trade in key position players Hogan Maynard Petracca Brayshaw Stretch and later picks would be handy imo

Praying for Middleton to come out and rule in favour of ASADA today, I still think the comments of Little coming out after the trial and saying he hopes it all just goes away will come back to bite him remember during the trail Middleton said any ruling in favour of Essendon would be done on the condition that in his opinion ASADA could re-gather all of the same evidence without any issues, he wants to see Justice be handed out here and isn't stupid enough to think Essendon aren't trying to sneak their way out of this.
