  1. Doesn't seem to understand that we fought back and gained a strong lead before that would have become any factor, and given the age of the side compared to there's i think if anything it makes it more impressive we were able to get into a winning position before the last quarter
  2. I suspect when we are up around the mark the Giants, dogs and Saints might be the other challengers
  3. I still believe firmly it's just his manager making sure he doesn't rush anything, by all accounts Jesse loves the club and is loyal to it, but his manager is just saying, settle down and see how this year plays out, 10 wins or more i think will see Jesse sign on before the start of 2017, ultimately i think he's ours to lose though
  4. Petracca when he has trained has looked fantastic, i have absolutely no doubts he's in our best 22 so i'd be a little surprised if he came through the VFL Trengove i expect no risks, i reckon round 6 is a good aim, i'd want to see a few good VFL hitouts and him force his way into the side.
  5. It's the lower teams, Carlton, Essendon and Brisbane for sure are the teams we expect to beat and we have a habit of losing to those sides, if we beat carlton and essendon last year we could have had a ten win season
  6. Would say Brayshaw is now in doubt, Garland Dunn Jetta Salem Mcdonald Lumumba Vince Viney Kent Kennedy Pederson Vandenberg Garlett Hogan Watts Gawn Jones Tyson Bugg, Petracca, Harmes, Frost
  7. agreed, it was an extremely dangerous tackle, and Brayshaw is lucky he didn't get far more seriously injured, i am baffled that it wasn't looked at, especially after Oliver's was
  8. thank god for that, hopefully he comes up for round 1 but i'd assume they won't be risking anything
  9. To be fair Ron, he's also been found guilty of being a drug cheat. i reckon it's fair enough to be bitter about what Essendon has done, and probably isn't a label that's going to wash off those players in a hurry
  10. Players should know better then to get injured, it's bad for our blood pressure.
  11. Hulett and Omac i'd say are going to be chasing that spot,
  12. Granted losing Pav and Sandilands is going to free up some money.
  13. I'd play Garland as the high half forward and get him leading right up the ground and Keep Watts closer to goal, i thnk aside from Jesse and Jeff he is the next most likely to kick a bag of 3-4 goals and really make a difference, his strength is his speed and finishing so i think he is at his most dangerous inside 50 leading at the ball carrier and using his speed to get a break on his opponent.
  14. Agreed, I'd be really keen personally on throwing Garland forward, Frost back and letting Dunn be the third tall defender, but that's just my opinion ( not that it fixes the kicking out of the backline, i just think Frost is a better defender than forward and Garland could easily play a strong role up forward
  15. really confident on this one, i think he'll be fine, god i hope i am right.
  16. I know this thread is about Jack but just looking at our young mids Brayshaw, Viney, Petracca, Oliver, Tyson, Vanders, Salem, Kennedy, Bugg, Trengove, add in Jones and Vince, and Gawn spoon feeding them, So impressive the transformation of this club, Roos took over imo the worst side of all time and in 2 an a bit seasons has turned us into a genuine Finals contender with a huge level of talent, imo the best coaching staff in the AFL and an extremely exciting few years coming up.
  17. True dat, loved the way he got stuck into the ducking king when we beat them last year, unsociable footballer
  18. Largely due to us having one of the weakest and most shallow midfields in the past decade meaning almost every entry is fast and under little to no pressure, the reason he is so highly rated is that he has not only held his own but won key battles under that sort of heat, when we are a top 4 side TMAC is going to be seen as the best defender going around.
  19. I would suggest this all but confirms his place in the leadership group.
  20. On par with Jesse Hogan as our most important player imo, if he plays like the game against Geelong last year consistently, he could win a brownlow.
  21. I'd probably rest him against the dogs just to be safe but that's great news!
