  1. Jesse is one of the more loyal guys you're likely to meet, i would be absolutely shocked if he is talking to Fremantle at all, i have no doubt they'd be chatting to his manager but meeting them in seasons with a year and a half to go on his contract is just crazy.
  2. Lucky he's going to stay so it won't matter :D
  3. Jesse went home to Perth 5-6 times in season last year like this, it's just how we're managing him.
  4. Assuming this is for Prestia right? there is absolutely no way in the world Dom Tyson would agree to a trade out of victoria. the club would know who they're prepared to offer up in order to get someone like Dion to the club, i'm certain Dom isn't once of those players
  5. I wouldn't mind Lewis Taylor lining up in red and blue if he decides he wants to move home.
  6. H they're being careful because of Concussion as well, so he really just had the session off to try and make sure he's right later in the week.
  7. We also bid on Callum Mills, though i'm sure the recruiting department knew that was never going to happen haha
  8. So much for that rubbish about him going to Port Adelaide. lol
  9. Hogan would be crazy to sign a 10 year deal, as others have said the salary caps are getting bigger, in 5 years time he might be worth 2 mil or more a year
  10. The interesting thing being at Fremantle, it will all rest on him and Fyfe and Fyfe has a very serious injury that may not recover 100%
  11. I suspect we might be a destination club simply because a lot of midfielders don't want to be on the opposite team to Jack Viney
  12. I heard Jack Viney once broke a Nokia phone just by looking at it, can anyone confirm?
  13. it's amazing how out of context my post was taken, as i said my overwhelming preference is to keep Jesse, of course, he is vital. But we don't have the final say, he might leave and it might be totally out of our control, the silver lining if there is any is that we will get significant compensation for him if that does eventuate, will it be the same as keeping him? no. but two top 10 picks and a player potentially does help soften the blow a little bit.
  14. Stay or go i am fairly comfortable with where we sit. Obviously overwhelming preference is to keep Jesse, but if he does go imo the opening of negotiations for a trade would be 2 top 10 draft picks and god knows where it would end up, so we'd be well compensated Plus we have Weiderman coming through who is a very good talent.
  15. I think Dion Prestia will be a demon in 2017, but i'd much rather Saad! he's exactly what we need, and still has a heap of scope to improve.
  16. Pretty much, he's having what i'd consider second year blues and still matching or beating nearly every young key forward in the comp besides Tom Lynch, and he is good enough to be as good or better than him before this year is out if he gets his best footy going
  17. Goody is highly respected by anyone who has anything to do with the Adelaide footy club, i'm sure there will be a few blokes keen to work with him
  18. well done Harmsy! Tracks turn this week
  19. Much rather get ignored than when Damo was smashing us every week under Neeld.
  20. Hogan is going to get and deserve big coin, i believe he's struggled in 5 of 7 games this year and still already has nearly 20 goals. another 2-3 years and he'll be tearing this comp a new one. if it takes 15 mil over 10 years to keep him where do i sign?
  21. He would be doing bloody well for himself, but wouldn't be the first person to make the switch to full time coaching, i think he'd certainly be worth chatting to
  22. I'd probably play Jetta on Stringer, i know he's a bit shorter but he's also imo our best defender.
  23. I think the club will be really keen to keep the development structures we have in place, so Macca won't move. Rawlings is keen on a senior coaching gig so i doubt it will be him either as he most likely won't be around long term. I'd think we will look outside and try and bring someone into the club, I think someone like Brett Ratten would be a great get as a senior assistant. I would love to see the club approach Jonothan Brown about a coaching role as well, he has a lot of positive things to say about the club and would be great for our developing key forwards.
  24. His defensive efforts might keep his opponent goalless but that's worth very little if his bad turnovers cost us 2-3 goals a game the other way, absolutely kills momentum when you're out and a bloke makes a bad skill error. that for me is the biggest worry, so many attacks are launched from the half back line these days and one of the players we rely on to start those attacks consistently makes basic skill errors.
