  1. Which does show how much you can put up with when you're winning and a guy's playing well
  2. And the harsh reality for Judd is he couldn't look in an aggressive half back role in the 14th ranked team and somehow thinks he's going to be able to do it in a team that's higher up the ladder and should contend for the flag.
  3. Clarry and Trac never won a brownlow because they played in a team containing Clarry, Trac, Gawn, Viney and others. it's the curse good teams sometimes live with. I have no doubt in my mind at all Clarry was the best player in the comp multiple seasons and so was Gawn.
  4. They don't use the word shallow, but a lot used the word compromised, and i think the distinction and why the perception of shallow is valid is, if you have 60 good players in a draft, and 20 of them are tied to other clubs already, that does become a shallow pool. I mean even we've got 2 players tied to us, most clubs seem to have someone. The AFL has got to do something about this because it's a joke at the moment. or i guess they do as shown above. oops.
  5. Hahaha your entire post is just your own conspiracy theories you're trying to pretend are facts to make a point Of course Steven King said one thing, but Bing from Demonland knows better. Literally last off season was WAYYYY more toxic with Trac and guess what, he walked back in the door, so did Clarry, so did Kozzie
  6. you're making a lot of assumptions. Steven King is on record wanting him to stay and has pitched to him, what the players think is largely irrelevant, they're paid athletes, they'll play with who they're told to and they don't have to like it.
  7. This is another demonland myth, like the idea that we'd pay some of his salary that did the rounds and was totally wrong as well. Trac is a contracted professional athlete, he will come back if he has to and the club will embrace him and by round 3 it'll be back to normal then we'll probably do it all again in 12 months The other side to this is the Suns are doing a victory lap about this being one of their most signifcant signings ever, the fact they're saying that means they'll have a fun time cleaning up a deal that falls through
  8. PSD. stuff the kid. Enjoy West Coast and getting Booed for the rest of your career as a lock down defender coz that's all he's good enough to do.
  9. I'm not sure what his alternative is? all 17 clubs posture and play the same game, Gold Coast are right now even though they know we have the whip hand with Trac contracted. This is a real test for Tim Lamb though, if we accept a rubbish deal for a contracted Petracca Lamb can go with him as far as i am concerned, he'll never get a more simple deal to negotiate than a club desperate to sign a star level contracted player
  10. I wouldn't even consider this, just say no and move on. We're highly unlikely to find a replacement for Chaplin on such short notice
  11. we have the gun "Trac" and they want him. we're in a position of natural strength and it would be a huge failure to get a deal that doesn't make us really excited.
  12. I love trade week Tim Lamb: "by far the most likely outcome is christian Petracca is playing for Melbourne next year, it's up to the Suns to turn our head" - almost scoffed when they suggested pick 7 Craig Cameron: Bailey Humphrey can meet with as many clubs as he likes, we're not trading him Reaility: both sides posturing, who bends first? This is the first major test of Guerra, King and the new MFC
  13. I've been saying this all week, slide a picture over the table of BH to the Suns, and say "Call us when you're ready to get serious" Trac is contracted, we set the price, it's up to them if they wanna buy or pass. Other clubs will come if they sense the Suns can't get the deal done
  14. Yes. He’s a genuine match winner who’s so young and has so much growth left. It’s not outside the realms that he could become the best player in the competition
  15. Bump it up 1.5 x 8 and he gets the number 5 on his back. And the play on the MCG 15 times a season
  16. We're already pushing the kid out when he doesn't want to leave, for the love of god don't send him to the filth. I could deal with the Giants, not the Pies.
  17. How do you rate the draft Daz? I believe it's not that bad a pool but the AFL have just gone too far with all the compromising picks and stuff, are there a few good players that could be around the mark of the potential Trac picks?
  18. The Viney and Gawn extensions when they just weren’t needed were a bit odd. It’s such an important position. You can see how much we benefit from one of the best in Taylor. If we could get the list management right it will go a long way towards us winning again. I just feel like with some of thr NQR names while it’s fair to say we shouldn’t have signed them at all, you look at that list and it’s hardly Tim lambs fault potatoes played like potatoes
  19. I think it’s definitely true that bucks or Longmire if we were able would have bought a certain level of credibility to the club and while the process might have been identical it would have been seen in a totally different way
  20. Now we’re talking!
  21. I feel like you need to do a best 22. You’ve been a cranky bum tonight and maybe it’ll cheer you up
  22. What’s the issue with may? I am sure we’d pay some of his salary to get him out the door and clearly there are teams he’d make better Maybe it’s one that just pops up late in the piece but not a priority?
  23. Frost held down a key defensive post in a side that made a prelim and then has also played solid footy at the hawks. I don’t think there is any issue with a second rounder McAdams equally hasn’t worked out due to injury but I’d agree if he’d been totally fit the whole time and couldn’t get a kick. Based on his output at the crows and the fact they wanted him to stay I don’t have an issue with the price we paid
  24. I feel like his record is actually pretty good on the most part. I think fans just look at the speculative picks and say “that low cost, speculative pickup didn’t work so Tim lamb bad”
  25. Easy to forget Clarry is a Melbourne legend and played a huge role in returning us from the neeld era back to relevance. His contribution shouldn’t be forgotten
