Farewell Jesse Hogan
He’s apparently got a ridiculous offer from the dockers in front of him but seriously why would anyone go near that mob? If he did request a trade (which he won’t I don’t believe) id be asking for pick 6 and the pick they get For Neale likely 4

Josh Kelly
I would offer kelly a massive deal. He is exactly what our team needs. He is the sort of player who would take us from very good to great potentially.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Would personally have a serious look at jack Martin. If he wants to come back to vic I think his class and speed would be very handy for us up forward.

2019 best 22 and depth chart
My view of the best 22 for next year Lever Oscar Jetta salem. Frost. Hibbo jones. Oliver. Harmes petracca. Hogan. Vanders melksham McDonald. Weideman gawn. Brayshaw. Viney. Lewis. Nibbler. Hannan. Fritsch I think Lewis will be under pressure to keep his spot just given his age but he’s good enough to play his role and hold it jones will need to settle into a slightly different role. Maybe up forward. Not sure he’s good enough overhead to play back all the time. Could also be a tagger. Beauty of harmes is he can shut someone down without losing his offensive output oscar I think had improved a lot this year and lever back in will help him a lot. The backs too often don’t talk and fly for the same ball. This needs to be worked on over pre season up forward we will need to work hard on our connection and forward craft. We will become super dangerous when those guys begin to isolate and create space for each other. Too often they all get dragged to the same spot. Tyson isn’t best 22 for mine at this stage and is someone I’d consider offers for. I think he’s worth a pick between 25-35 the addition of some outside pace on the wings would help a huge amount. This gives baker and hunt and opening if they can have a good pre season all in all I think we had a bad day in the prelim but we are close to a flag. We will be better for the run in finals and a huge chance to go one better next year if the hunger remains and the growth continues

Simon Goodwin & coaching staff will restore faith
They don’t need to restore faith. We have seen improvement year in year out for 5 years. We have played Fanals and won 2 without hogan and lever we won 14 with lever and Viney missing huge chunks of the year we have had young players come through and some seriously develop like James Harmes and Sam frost Most coaches would love our list with the age profile, talent, style and the future ahead of us. we had a mare in the prelim and that’s dissapointing but it doesn’t change the long term direction of this club. we are right on the edge of something very special thanks to Goodwin and co they don’t need to restore faith, we all need to keep it.

2019 best 22 and depth chart
Gawns back up has the be the third tall forward. Can’t carry 4. I personally don’t even know about 3 I think we look better with just 2 talls and some good smalls

2019 best 22 and depth chart
I wouldn’t mind betting young baker will have a massive pre season and have a serious crack at locking in a best 22 spot next year. I really like him as a player

Josh Kelly
You know I don’t think it does, we have shown all year we play a style that stacks up, we just had a nightmare of a day. In saying that I agree that kelly should be a target

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
I reckon yesterday showed me lack a gorilla minder. Oscar just gets monstered too often and frost while he’s been good had a shocker. I also think our wings tend to get exposed due to a lack of speed there. in saying that I think most coaches would take our list given the opportunity so it’s really an icing on the cake thing. i personally think Jesse hogan being tried as a key back isn’t the worst idea.

Time for Jack Viney to lead on his own?
He’s probably a little bit too injury prone at this stage.

GAMEDAY - Preliminary Final vs Eagles
I’m out. Not going to waste a beautiful day on this rubbish. Disgraceful. Good day all
-
GAMEDAY - Preliminary Final vs Eagles
No leadership. Gone to water. Not handling the moment.
-
GAMEDAY - Preliminary Final vs Eagles
Done with this game. Gil has ruined any integrity the AFL had left and We are so far from handling the moment it’s scary. Big concerns

GAMEDAY - Preliminary Final vs Eagles
Umpiring is a disgrace. AFL is a waste of time these days. All about $$

GAMEDAY - Preliminary Final vs Eagles

The Other Preliminary Final
It would take our best footy to beat the pies but we are good enough. Just need to get past the eagles.

The Other Preliminary Final
Got this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach that the filth might cause a massive upset here... I’d love to play the pies in a grand final. How good would it be watching Eddie sob as chunk and goody lift the cup

Match Preview and Team Selection - Preliminary Final
Curve ball idea. Will be shouted down but I’ll throw it out anyway. Eagles have quite a tall and not a super mobile defence. Swing McDonald back, clog up the backline and not allow the eagles room, leave weid as the only tall forward. If the ball hits the ground their backline will seriously struggle.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Jesse is not going to leave a club he’s been through an entire rebuild with that is now a genuine premiership contender for the foreseeable future, to go to a club like Fremantle that needs a rebuild and is years away from challenging or west coast who are propped up by some older stars. This dees team could legitimate have the sort of success hawthorn have had and No one is going to be asking for a trade away anytime soon.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Preliminary Final
Put it down to bias and overconfidence but I have a feeling we are going to jump them bigtime and be 7-8 goals in front by early in the second quarter and then probably only win by that much. I reckon track has been hovering around a genuinely dominant performance and me Hollywood will put on a show tomorrow night and blast the eagles out of the water. I also think Viney will be like a wrecking ball in the contest and the eagles have nothing that can even close to match him. If the eagles were smart I’d be tagging Viney not Oliver. People talk about Kennedy and darling but on current form I think tommy and weid are every bit as big a threat, and the forward we have around them are all capable of kicking bags. My feeling is the eagles think the two key forwards will make the difference and we are going over there hungry and riding a wave of support and emotion and we will be amazingly hard to stop if we can get a roll on at any stage. This is a team that could kick 10-12 goals straight because of that and the way we play go dees - dees by 41

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
I assume fritsch has played too many games to qualify for the VFL final..? Poor kid, it’s a ruthless business trying to win flags and he’s very stiff. But I suspect he still has a lot of improvement left in him and will be back even better

If we beat the Eagles in the prelim I will ...
There will be tears.... but got to be more interesting than that! Maybe post a video on Facebook of me singing it’s a grand old flag in nothing but a dees scarf again.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Not sure how we could get the trade done.

Changes v Eagles - Preliminary Final
I’d be reluctant to make any changes. I think the eagles will load up on talls up forward for sure but we are good enough to keep them under control. And it should allow us to rebound if they get it wrong. Id stick with Tyson. I think our big strength is midfield depth and I think that’s where we can get on top of the eagles. The backline won’t be as big a concern if we win it out of the middle

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Dean Kent and a swap of picks seems like a fair deal to me
