Just have to be positive. No young kid could have blossomed in the Essendon environment the last few seasons. It must have been the most toxic footy environment in the history of VFL/AFL. A new lease on life will be good for not just Melksham but any other player smart enough to leave. -

I dont think a 12 year old could describe Essendon supporters as perfectly as I just did -

Who give s [censored] what those Hird worshipping losers think -
Is he a free agent? Hes a great player but its not wise giving up pick 6 for a bloke who will be 28 before next season ends Just speculating pick 6 is what the Swans would demand for him
-
You might be on to something considering what Damian Barrett just wrote about us in his Sliding Doors column.
-

Anyone know what i'vas track record is like with rumours? I wanna get excited, I really do.
-
I did the other day, I had Ablett Jnr coming to the Demons Still could happen btw
-
so boring at the moment with us being linked to anybody significant I know its early days but come onnnnn. Hopefully its a good sign we have something going on behind the scenes and arent leaking, instead of a precursor to a big let down this trade period

As will I. The hysteria has probably been a bit over the top. He was looking the goods as a 21 year old then, the drug scandal happened. Hard for any young player to develop in the toxic environment of Essendope. Perhaps a change of scenery will see him blossom. -

The day cant come soon enough when this potato re-signs with Essendope and this thread can be locked and disappear forever -
I suspect this is exactly what will happen. How many other clubs would Howe get a game at? He aint worth more than 290k
-
Its like he owns the field, everyone are just pawns in his game. He read that play from a mile away.
-
Ended up 3rd in the AFL for total contested marks and 3rd in contested marks per game. Beast.
-
That gather and lightning quick handball to Newton for a goal He is the total package
-
Some of those marks today were just unfair. 44 goals in his debut season and a presence that just about every other forward can only ever dream of. And hes only 20.
-
Motlop just re-signed with the Cats, mark another one off the list
-
-
Yeah fair point... suppose it cant hurt if they are the last 2 blokes on the list
-
Surely we will pay out M Jones and Terlich.. its terrible they are contacted and will suck to take the financial hit in the short term, but we can not carry F grade spuds any longer
-
Well Daniel Cross has retired. There another spot open.
-
Wish I had your enthusiasm Adam... Lynch seems like a good possibility and would be a nice acquisition, but the MFC just doesn't attract established players at the talent level of Prestia, Bennell and Whitfield.
-
I cant believe some posters ae complaining about his 'body language' and'yelling at teammates'. I know its rare to have a player at the MFC that demands the best out of everyone and doesn't accept second best, but still... Wayne Carey, Jonathan Brown, Dermott Brereton, Tony Lockett .. they all had what Jesse has. Anyone that has an issue with how Jesse carries himself doesn't know what greatness looks like.
