  1. Mitch Hannan is a butter knife at best 😆
  2. Fair to say we did well out of this trade
  3. There’s a legend who sits in the AFL members. He’s got a shaved head, strong moustache, uggs & a blue Bonds singlet and there each week. Love his work.
  4. I love him but have nightmares about his left foot 😂
  5. Different take, and this might make me a dinosaur too - tears are often a frustration thing. As in you’re so angry by what has been said and frustrated because you know you can’t respond as you’d like that you end up crying. As in ‘I’d like to smash Zorko but know it’s the wrong thing & also don’t want to miss finals’ I thought those were rage tears. Very disappointing to hear Brown suggest Petty might be embarrassed. The AFL types all talk about mental health but seem unable to connect that old fashioned societal expectations of masculinity really hurt men & crush their ability to share their feelings. I love that our players so strongly care & support each other, they’re amazing examples to young ppl, especially men, about how you love your mates.
  6. If anything I just thought they were all trying to avoid Roaming [censored].
  7. No. No logical reasoning for this other than I couldn’t stand him as a player 😂
  8. Halfway along Brunton Ave it was confirmed we’d won & that I’m one of the worst supporters ever.
  9. I recently saw a meme that said 'People really pick a sports team when they're a kid and let them annoy them the rest of their lives' We're all in that boat, some of us are just more measured than others 😄 I'm definitely in the crazy half of the supporter boat. I was so flithy with our performance on Saturday at one stage had to tell myself "you can't control what these clowns do on field". And I'm outing myself as one of those who cracked it and walked out with 2 minutes left. I'd love to be one of those 'support the boys 100%' types but like all of us MFCSS sufferers, I've been hurt too many times to be optimistic. But I fully own my craziness 😆
  10. Same. I was so frustrated with how we’d played & just couldn’t handle the thought of watching happy Carlton supporters. Footy karma got me though 😂
  11. Since we're talking about it, what about the captain after next? Petty?
  12. Oh god no, I hate watching on TV, nothing worse. I feel much more in control at the ground, you can see the mistakes coming 😄
  13. I've already had a sulk about the AFL Members being sold out. Could only get seats on level 4 🤢
  14. Why does everyone keep using logic on me? I want to be able to hate Geelong in demented peace 😁
  15. Very good point...but it's a rational one, and I'm not rational when it comes to MFC 😄
  16. That the Away fans are allocated such a tiny amount of seats is extremely annoying as it's totally counter to the argument that the 'big' clubs shouldn't play down there because the ground doesnt have the capacity. There will never be enough seats for the Away side so it doesnt matter if Collingwood or North Melbourne play down there. And yet it's always the same group of Melbourne-based clubs who are forced to play there.
  17. At half time a bloke four rows in front of me power spewed like I’ve never seen. It was a preview of the result 😂 Thought Gawn had a very average night & Jackson a shocker. Which equaled English dominating. The short break off the Alice trip didn’t help, in the last we struggled to get enough men to match them around the contests, felt like they always had one extra. Our second tier blokes were not good. Not sure why we’re complaining about the umpires, I was sitting on the Footscray wing & according to those specimens they were being robbed 😂
  18. The problem is that 7’s marquee caller, Brian Taylor, is awful. He doesn’t know the rules or the players. And he ain’t half as smart or as funny as he thinks he is.
  19. I appreciate the six goals in the GF and agree that he's a very good player. But that doesnt mean i love him. You think all the North fans loved Brett Allison? All Essendon fans love Blake Caracella? Personally I think it's the selfishness that stops him from being an excellent player. But I'm not on the coaching panel, I'm one muppet on a MFC forum 😁
  20. Fritsch is a hard player to love and this is one of the big reasons why. And yes, I'm well aware of how valuable he is, but he's never going to be a favourite of mine.
  21. Bittersweet but it's good to know Noel saw the 2021 Premiership.
  22. That's one way of looking at it, and Walker's not unredeemable. But you could also argue that it's not the job of our Indigenous players (or any Indigenous people) to have to do that education work. This is only my opinion, so it doesn't count for much, but I would be disappointed if the footy club, who has done so much good work in this area, was willing to overlook Walker's indiscretions.
  23. On the fitness point - I keep forgetting that we were back to pre-season training a month later than the previous season. That has to have an impact.
  24. Very generous towards May
  25. The problem is it's either feast or famine - there's no grey. Our forward line is either amazing or it doesnt work at all (See the Queen's Birthday game). Both types of conversion are an issue; inside 50>marks and set shots>goals. There was that nightmare moment in the Q3 of the grand final, Bont had kicked that goal and we were 5.10 and I thought 'we've been horribly inaccurate all year and it's about to bite us'. Thank god the tide turned.
