  1. Personally I think they gambled that Brown would get through the season. Unfortunately his knees are done.
  2. The Grundy issue is totally on us. We thought we could magic him into Luke Jackson 2.0 and it didn’t work.
  3. Spargo can use the footy well but is slow and can’t kick further than 40m. To his credit he makes the most of what he’s got. Pickett has so many talents but this season he has plateaued. Against Carlton playing Pickett as the deep forward was a good move & nearly paid off. But like all small forwards, he can go missing for patches, he needs consistency. I’m firmly in the camp that you can’t have all three, Pickett, Spargo & Chandler, + ANB in the same forward half.
  4. Not trying to start an argument - is it corruption or is it just that it’s amateur hour at the AFL? The technology is beyond a joke.
  5. This was one of the many things that drove me crazy tonight
  6. Yep some horrible efforts in some one-on-one contests with Sidebottom
  7. Kinda poetic that a poorly executed simple pass resulted in Petty’s injury & stuffs up our forward structure. And then the cobbled together forward line can’t execute simple skills. Circle of life 😂
  8. He’ll get off. Then we’ll get to hear all the Collingwood idiots praising his toughness.
  9. THIS 👏👏👏 In soccer they can tell to the millimetre if someone is offside yet the AFL won’t pay for a goal line camera. If the technology was there & we’d lost so be it. But in this case we’re left wondering. The AFL bang on how how professional it is but are ok with games being decided using footage grainier than the Zapruder film…it’s a joke.
  10. It felt like that little [censored] Boomer killed us for 20 years 😁
  11. It was a 20m pass, it should’ve hit a target. Unlike the rough forward entries of the first half, this one has done more than just hurt us on the scoreboard.
  12. THIS. This is exactly what made me furious. It a big hypothetical but if that pass hits him on the chest he’s not tackled.
  13. Call me an [censored] then cause that was average
  14. Need to share this on Twitter for the clowns who are obsessed with our attendance figures. Without fail there are tweets about our supporters not showing up and/or MFC not “deserving” prime time games because of our attendance.
  15. To get away from the AFL members this season I’ve got seats in the MFC area, Olympic Stabd M53 right on the 50. Unfortunately it is the last bay of the MFC area & the empty seats are constantly filled up by opposition supporters. It’s really annoying as I’d gone out of my way to avoid hearing opposition clowns.
  16. This is pathetic. No other words.
  17. Oh well if we’re leading the stats who cares about the scoreboard
  18. Those don’t account for being so weak at the contest
  19. Sorry but what was positive about that slop? It was insipid.
  20. Don’t usually post in the game day thread but that 2nd qtr effort was disgusting. Brisbane are hardly the toughest & they smashed us around the footy. We looked soft.
  21. The barracking is painful to listen to but what kills me is the complete lack of professionalism from key callers, with Brian Taylor the main offender. He doesn’t know the players, makes outrageous calls on injuries and struggles with the rules. And he ain’t funny. I’d much rather a professional commentator like Nicholson or Bennett than listen to that fat [censored].
  22. I’m in Reykjavik and have just woken up to this result. What a bunch of [censored]. They’ve gone back to pre2021 where you can’t trust them to execute the basics.
  23. Thought similar at HT yesterday. We'd done a great job of shutting them down but would it be possible to do it for a whole game. We got our answer 😁
  24. Have a look at this tweet, we all get excited about the footy but imagine wishing death upon someone fighting a terminal disease
