CASEY DEMONS: Rd 01 vs Box Hill Hawks
Interesting that the VFL fixture has been based on the AFL aligned teams playing on the same day as the AFL team play. Assume it was requested by the clubs to provide synch between the levels but given they play at different venues it is another knock on the VFL comp crowdwise.

NON MFC: Rd 05 2021

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 01 vs Box Hill Hawks
Thinking of heading with my chair along so any details would be welcome. I assume MFC membership gets me free admission as in earlier years. If KC can give us the player numbers and possibly the team when available that would be great. Box Hill was the site of the Weid's big VFL breakout game so let's hope he can repeat it.

TV probably one game into Sydney... one into Melbourne Interest in the Sydney game outside Sydney would be very low

NON MFC: Rd 05 2021
In theory it's an easy tipping round as other than Crows v Freo there is a firm favourite in each match. Sure to be a few upsets though Richmond Eagles Bulldogs Swans (hoping for a GWS win though) Port Brisbane Freo Cats and of course US

Ticketing for Rd 05 vs Hawthorn
my guess is no as they want to maintain control of which parts of the ground are opened. As MFC crowds are in the main around 30-40k I foresee a lot of closed levels for the year. Hope I'm wrong

Inside 50 rate from kick-ins
correct the end to end goal is one of the best risk/reward transitions in the game. We have the perfect team with our talls and Pickett to take advantage of the process.

Ticketing for Rd 05 vs Hawthorn
the new system isn't rocket science and is being trialed for a couple of games this weekend. All it is that if you buy five tickets you have to put in contact details for all five and not just yourself as the buyer

Inside 50 rate from kick-ins
surprises me as our kick outs have definitely improved this season. Scope for improvement as with several other areas... a good thing

seriously... a crowd of around 35k and they offer you that seat

2021 Injury List
forgive my medical ignorance but although the eye socket will repair itself in 3-4 weeks does that mean it is ready for physical contact sport. The AFL rules forbid many medical guards on the basis that they pose injury risks to other players

Ticketing for Rd 05 vs Hawthorn
according to the CHO its not about spacing but more about zones and stopping cross overs between zones. He was quoted today as saying they were not too sure how they could move to 100% and still maintain space between zones. Stupid I know as with both last weeks game and this one everyone could have easily spread out and a lovely time would have been had by all.

Ticketing for Rd 05 vs Hawthorn
and it allows them to close off more of the ground thus reducing staff and cleaning costs. The issue will be who pays them or the ticket company or will we all get the dreaded $5 admin fee

AFL ticket allocation exhausted for all areas except one bay on level 1. This really is a joke

one small plus is that it should not limit his running and other fitness work. Perhaps a phantom like mask and he can even join in light contact training in a week or so.

VOTES: Rd 04 vs Geelong
6. Viney 5. Lever 4.Fritsch 3.Langdon 2. Petracca 1. Oliver Spargo would have got 3 votes if he had kicked 2 goals Apolgies to Gawn and a few other players.... very good team effort

CHANGES: Rd 05 vs Hawthorn
Petty has not played full back. He's either CHF or CHB. If Tomlinson plays FB then you have to ask who provides the better balance Hibberd or Petty. Petty offers the more upside longer term but it's not simple by any means.

Ticketek - A Painfully Long Explanation
75% occupancy designed for distancing and the AFL auto ticketing system closes a significant proportion of the upper level of the stands. It will happen again next week against Hawks
