  1. I’d say he is looking at tweaks because every other team in the comp has done their homework on our strengths and a few have found a way to beat us (Collingwood being one) Normally a team will win that game with the dominance we had - we are incredibly wasteful given the number of F50 entries we have (it’s not just this game) and atm if teams are prepared to run and take risks to move the ball quickly our much lauded back six frankly look pretty [censored]
  2. Howes is nowhere near ready for AFL particularly a game like last night or a final - he was only just ok last week in the VFL against the worst team in that comp
  3. Very very disappointing and what I will say is that sometimes the better team doesn’t win the game and that’s what happened last night Credit to the filth as they played well but seriously the game should have been dusted by half time had we taken our chances Some of the umpiring calls were a bit perplexing to say the least and certainly didn’t help but they shouldn’t have been close enough to make a difference
  4. Are we playing ? the pre game channel 7 show is totally about the filth - excuse me while I just have a quick chunder
  5. I got on at $2.31 Gamble responsibly
  6. Yeah they look really intimidating - NOT
  7. From bit-part player to flag hero: Demons' 'mini-Viney' Tom Sparrow forging his own path (afl.com.au) Some well deserved recognition for Tom - hard nut and love his endeavour
  8. FYI BBO not sure the lead in with driving the dog ute and getting on the booze is the best strategy for getting post game accomodation with Demonland sheilas 😀 Anyway hope your right about the game result - we will need to apply our trademark full field pressure and stop their run - if we do that we should prevail and how sweet it will be
  9. Its a worthy experiment and one that a few of us have been suggesting for some time now He will take some time before he adjusts to a forward role so expectations should be modest in the short term - he will however provide a good physical contest both in the air and on the deck I would expect we will see more of Joel in the F50 next season
  10. Yep and Harmes led our tackle count that day despite him only being on the field for that time If you consider the tackle stats and pressure acts these are the guys that play the Melbourne way That is why he will be considered for selection this week even though we had a good team performance last week
  11. You missed TOG% of 64 which was the lowest of any Demon player Can't do much on the bench He is safe as houses
  12. I doubt it particularly as it looks like it could be wet - the one thing that is worth considering is that JVR's best game this year (IMO) was against Geelong at the kitty box on a very wet day - not suggesting he is like a wet track racehorse but he was particularly good that day
  13. Hope she belted them with the nearest heavy blunt instrument
  14. So your Dad didn’t manage to get into your head - thank goodness 😅
  15. They are not known as being particularly sharp 😀
  16. I'm sorry to hear that OD I hope your son recovers soon and starts following the Dees
  17. Joel Smith would still be my choice from those 3 - physically capable of having an impact against an opposition that is battle hardened JVR if it was a nothing game against weak opposition but we don't have one of those games left this season - his time will come soon enough after a big summer/pre season Mitch Brown is not an AFL footballer IMO
  18. What constitutes most suitable in this context ? Having zero impact ?
  19. I can really only remember him in this years pre season game against Norf where he looked overweight and couldn't get a kick Anything but a jet that day
  20. I'd say there may be some truth in that - Fyfe replacement of sorts
  21. His 4 Out of bounds on the full was good
  22. In an article today Longmuir was quoted as follows referring to the David Mundy retirement "He is close to the end, and we need to make sure we put all of our own personal issues and indifferences to one side and see if we can help him achieve what he wants to achieve in his last handful of games" It was quite a strange thing to say I thought and suggests that things perhaps are not what they should be in the Dockers camp link below Dockers urged to do it for Mundy in AFL (msn.com)
