  1. Gee your probably pretty close to pinning the tail on the Donkey Deeoldfart - but very glass half empty approach at this point
  2. Appears to be a bit slow - I would not think he is what the recruiters are hoping to find
  3. Good luck Joel - I am also a fan and think he can be a player given a reasonable run with injuries
  4. Assume this is good but not sure his role - presumably to support Darren Burgess from a medical assessment perspective
  5. Haven't really seen much of Bradtke but I'm hoping he can really be a big improver this season as I have little confidence in Preuss ever amounting to much
  6. Fair call McKay, Curnow and Hipwood all look more promising
  7. What is there not to like? I know 3 mins of highlights is a very small sample BUT - can kick - can mark - not a whimp - can tackle Most on our list don't all 4 of those boxes
  8. Flanders highlights are not great - looks pretty slow and his kicking isn't great - a big no from me Young on the other hand is a great option
  9. Rather fortunate to still have a spot on the list - hopefully can improve significantly in 2020 Definitely behind May, Lever, Petty and probably Hore for mine Probably kept his spot due to the movement of Frost who offered more atm IMO
  10. I actually think Spargo is a good footballer - he seems to read the play well and generally makes the most of his limited possessions - kicking penetration is an obvious area to try and improve He played the small forward role in his first season because he didn't have the tank to run midfield If he can build his endurance and cope with extended time in the midfield I think he can be more than useful
  11. Has some nice attributes but he reminded me a bit of a short Sam Frost TBH. The other players he reminds me of is Daniel Bell for some reason Likes to run and carry but sometimes didn't look like it was to his or the teams advantage - also disposal was a bit hit and miss Small sample so I'm sure the recruiters know a hell of a lot more - personally would think he is a better option than Serong
  12. I really don't think he is AFL standard - I'm confident Geelong and Brisbane feel the same way
  13. Josh Walker is a definite no for me
  14. He has a handy highlights reel, can take a decent mark, fairly quick, doesn't mind a bit of rough and tumble, can kick the odd bag of goals Light on for these qualities at MFC not sure if we were keen but seems like we missed a chance here - I'm not convinced the Weed will ever amount to much - really hope he proves me wrong next year
  15. Could of been a handy pick up for MFC if you ask me - no idea what his state of mind is but a change of scenery might do wonders and we sure could do with some pace - he has that there is no doubt
  16. Gone from Saints to Cats for pick 58 ? A 4x B&F gone for pick 58 ? Seems a bargain to me
  17. Is Weightman worth a top 10 pick? - last time I checked he was ranked in the late 20's Not saying he is or isn't - would be interested to hear others views who have actually seen him play Would have to be something very special to use a top 10 pick given his size
  18. We are making a big bet on two players (Lever not key position IMO and May) that have spent very little time out on the ground - hope they can play most games next year otherwise I'm not sure our back line stocks are that flash Perhaps the club rates Petty as a better 2 to 3 year prospect than Frost - OMac well the least said the better
  19. According to Michael Gleeson Age he has ruled out MFC - onwards and upwards !
  20. The saddest part about this season and the pathetic demise is that it really comes as no surprise such is the nature of this football club. They collectively just have no capacity to compete for long enough to win games on a regular basis, believe their own BS afar too often and are not a serious threat to anything other than the wooden spoon
  21. He’s not the only one - what a rabble this club continues to be
  22. It’s a team sport and games are generally not won or lost by the performance of one individual irrespective of whether they play well or poorly However, anyone who has played any team sport before will know that when certain people fail to do what most consider to be the basics at a reasonable standard it is demoralising for the team - missed goals from very gettabke positions - avoiding contact because it’s easier not to - getting beaten in one on ones too easily etc .... we see this regularly with our current team and that is the reason we are where we are at on the ladder
  23. Ladder positions a very accurate reflection of the standard of these two teams at present
  24. On exposed form season to date they win this
  25. One week the other 8 weeks were for getting injured and turning up out of shape
