  1. Yeah, Harry will find his range soon - just hope it isn't this week!! I wasn't thinking goals from Cerra. His outside, uncontested work is what makes him so valuable as a distributor from the stoppages.
  2. Thanks. Bit of a shock leaving the sunny 22 degree Gold Coast yesterday and be back in cold Melbourne last night. What was also a shock is that I missed the turnoff to Beach Road and ended up on freeways. Unfortunately, the navigation system on my new car doesn't have its co-ordinates set properly and told me to exit after I had passed the exits! Then it took me thru' side streets I didn't know. One was a tiny group of shops and when bright lights flashed I new it was a speeding camera. Not knowing the area I had slowed but it was a 40 kph zone, with poorly located, unlit signs. Firmly convinced the camera was set up as a revenue earner. Not happy!!
  3. Wasn't thinking a tag per se. Just enough 'minding' to nullify him at stoppages and run him ragged - he can't run at the best of times.
  4. Cripps will be fired up for this game after he was falsely accused on not staying in the team hotel in Sydney. Not to mention the self-inflicted grief being poured on his club and the questioning of his captaincy. Hopefully, someone 'minds' him and runs him ragged to test that injured ankle. Cerra is a big win for them. With all their midfield outs he will return to play there which is where he plays his best. Question is will our midfield be switched on or will our ruck dominance be 'wasted'? Even with all their outs they will do some damage. MFCSS is preparing me for an upset...
  5. That post was made before we lost to Freo. Nonetheleess, the downbeat mood continued albeit with less intensity. Our loss to Freo gave them some encouragement. I'm waiting to see if it improves further after the Cerra decision and then post the 'What They Are Saying @ ...' thread; probably tomorrow.
  6. That sounds personal to me!
  7. No. To be fair, I don't recall what info was in the public domain at that time I wrote that. As more came out and I read more widely on it I could see the total unfairness of it all for Clarkson and Fagan. Clarkson and Fagan should never have been named. It is very sad all round. PS not sure of the value of going back to the beginning of this and dragging up so many old posts to challenge.

Earlier this year a friend had the same problem and the club organised a paper entry which was collected at the membership office near gate 3 on the day of the game. In addition, the digital barcode appeared in the mfc mobile app which could have also being used for entry. So under normal circumstances entry to the G is simple even without a card. For the KB game, we just have to wait and see what the club comes up with re GA membership + Guest Pass. I have two guests in this category for the KB game so am keenly interested in the outcome. I'm confident they will find a solution that means we don't have to buy Reserve seats for guests (which I did last night to be on the safe side)

Would rather donate $ to the club than increase their KB numbers!! LOL the Pies supporting members of my family decllined my invitation to join my demon supporting niece and I, as my guests. (To be fair, some had good reasons). But I managed to rope in a neutral that I know to be a demon-at-heart and a non demon fan, invited on the condition they barrack for the dees for the game. So in one gesture I've decreased the number of Pie fans and increased the number of dee fans at the game

Its in the 'Membership Details' of your account. If not familair with the process follow these steps: Click the 'Membership' tab on mfc websie. Click on 'Login' It will take you to this the Ticketmaster website which is where accounts are held. Click on 'Sign in'. Put in email address then password when requested. Your 'Membership Details' page should appear. The 12 digit barcode will be listed for each membership. Other posters may know of a shortcut. And maybe the mobile app is easier but I haven't tried that.
  11. May I remind you of Maysie, Langdon, Jayden etc etc etc!! Or are you ditching them too!!🙃
  12. I make it: 5/5 Petracca 4/3 Viney 4/2 Rivers 3/0 Sicily 2/0 Oliver 1/0 May 1/) Newocombe The top 3 got votes from both coaches. The rest from one coahc only. I would hope coaches aren't voitng along 'party lines'.
  13. My favourite part was when Spargo had a big grin on his face after his second goal - the closest I've seen to a celebration from him. ❤️💙Charlie!!
  14. We beat that vs Hawks at a similar time on Saturday there were 39,818 where apparently we outnumbered Hawks fans despite they having a membership of about 100,000 members. Home game to both clubs.
  15. They've won a few games but I still reckon we will get pick 5 to 7. Currently it is 7. Richmond will most likely rise above them and Sydney might also. It is possible one or more of Ess, Carl and GCS will drop below them...doubt all three will. A lot of tough and 8-pt games coming up for them So we can stay optimistic on pick 5-7.

Apologies for not replying earlier - I have been interstate and took a mini break from DL. See the post below from FTB for a possible reason for the Ticketek message. The membership number should appear in your membership account. Login via mfc website and go to the 'Membership Details' page. If number isn't there call or email the club. I've had good responses from them. For Ticketek you willl need the 12 digit barcode number which is also on the 'Membership Details' of your account.
  17. Egged on by the commentary! Also, I think as a team we are rising up the 'most hated' ranks. A badge of honour!
  18. It could be 17 wins as there is an extra game this year. But given the gap between the top 4 and the next 4, 16 wins and % wil probably do it.
  19. Had a quick look at bf. 70% of posts were complaining about the umpiring. 30% rightly proud of the team and optimism for the rest of the season. The big surprise was the high number of Opps team posters who butted in to say 'GCS were robbed' or similar. Opps fans rarely post on pre and post threads. Offenders were from Lions, Tigers, Ess and Saints. Guess that says it all!! Giving the mood, no-one would have been game to say the dees also got a raw deal and GCS were gifted some easy goals. The next few installments of WTAS@ will be brought to you by @Queanbeyan Demon Enjoy!
  20. If JvR is suspended so be it; he'll learn. He needs a rest anyway. That aside, love his aggression at the ball and his own argie-bargie reaction to all the attention he is getting behind play. Fearless and takes no nonsense. Rapidly rising to be an =+1 favourite!!
  21. I have a simple explanation for so many of our players being flat: 3 interstate games in the first 5. Followed with 3 games in 12 days including another flight. An eye on another interstate game vs Port in 2 weeks. That workload takes a big toll on players with niggles and AFL level newbies like: McVee, JvR, and Chandler. And maybe our imported players (Hunter and Grundy) wouldn't be used to that workload nor yet conditioned to our standards. The season is a marathon. We only need to ride out this tough patch through to the Port game, take the 4 points as often as we can and get ready to consolidate our season with most games thereafter being in Melbourne. After the workload so far we are in an outstanding position in the top 4 with an excellent % No need for all the stress in this thread.
  22. Had a quick look at the draw for other top 8 contenders, Teams each plays twice: Adelaide: Brisbane, Collingwood, Gold Coast, GWS, Port Adelaide, West Coast Carlton: Collingwood, Gold Coast, GWS, Melbourne, St Kilda, West Coast Essendon: Collingwood, Geelong, GWS, North Melbourne, Port Adelaide, West Coast Port Adelaide: Adelaide, Collingwood, Essendon, Geelong, Richmond, Western Bulldogs St Kilda: Brisbane, Carlton, Gold Coast, Hawthorn, North Melbourne, Richmond Sydney: Fremantle, Geelong, Gold Coast, GWS, Melbourne, Richmond Western Bulldogs: Fremantle, Geelong, Hawthorn, GWS, Port Adelaide, Richmond Similar to Geelong, Brisbane and Collingwood, those teams will have more 8-point games than Dees (and Saints) and their potential for big % boosts won't be as plentiful. Short of major injuries or some other disaster I can't see us not making the top 4. I'm ok with top 4 especially as the other teams are likely to be Vic teams so our finals will be at the G - as long as we don't get an Away game vs Brisbane.
  23. We have a potential advantage over the top 4 sides as the fixture Gods have smiled on us this year; last year they smiled on Geelong. We play 3 of the current bottom 4 sides twice: Richmond, North and Hawks with 4 of those games yet to be played. Brisbane, Geelong and Collingwood do not play any of them twice!! Teams played twice: Brisbane: Adelaide, Collingwood, Fremantle, Gold Coast, Melbourne, St Kilda Collingwood: Adelaide, Brisbane, Carlton, Essendon, Geelong, Port Adelaide Geelong: Collingwood, Essendon, Fremantle, Port Adelaide, Sydney, Western Bulldogs Melbourne: Brisbane, Carlton, Hawthorn, North Melbourne, Richmond, Sydney There are no easy games as we learnt last night. Never fear D'landers we will be top 2!!
  24. Looks like Richmond are playing in an empty MCG. Last week they had the excuse the game was at Marvel. This week no excuse at all. 100,000+ members. More microwaved membership cards. Or deleted Richmond FC app!!
