Noah Balta - Sentencing
Politicians now feel the need to comment about everything - Taylor Swift, drinking water to stay hydrated, swimming between the flags, checking on granny during hot weather and every high profile crime event. I really don't know how humanity survived without their gratuitous advice. She should shut her cake hole about most things & worry about paying off the debt.

Max Gawn shanks left - AGAIN
I posted this 5 years ago & yet his kicking for goal is no better. It's quiet disgraceful that he can't kick a goal from 20 m out.

Noah Balta - Sentencing
This was appropriately dealt with by the Club & the AFL in the pre season and most people were ok with it. Surprised you would support a grubby politician who sticks their nose in a court matter because they think they can get political benefit out of it. I thought lynch mobs went out of favour in the 1930's but some Demonlanders sound like they want them back.

That's the spirit. Build more jails & put everyone in jail. Especially any young thugs. Just follow the US system. What could go wrong ?

Tom Fullarton
You must be kidding. Fullerton did very little and was beaten at 2 ruck contests by Oscar McD. He gets another chance but really showed nothing.

Max Gawn shanks left - AGAIN
I'm 68 years old & haven't kicked a footy in 10 years yet I would back myself against Max in taking 10 set shots for goal 20m out at 45 deg.

Max Gawn shanks left - AGAIN
Multiple AA's yet still can't be relied on 20 metres out aaand still shanks them left. At least he's consistent.

May & Pickett both had niggles after the last game.

What gets you excited about the club?
Faith is something people grasp at in the absence of any actual evidence.

MEMBERSHIP TALLY 2025
Who would bother going to those marquee games to watch our woeful efforts. I've been twice this year & its obvious to me & everyone around me the glaring tactical problems but the Brains Trust seems oblivious.

What gets you excited about the club?
Nothing At All It's back to the future. Similar to when Jim Stynes had to step in.

Geelong FC list mgt re Chris Scott
It's all about list management that is player trading, third & 4th round draft picks & rookie picks over the last 4-5 years. Geelong has been outstanding while we have been rubbish & made our list worse. For example they have 4 genuine ruck options while we have 1 and a half.

Welcome to Demonland: Jack Henderson
Pretty disappointing after a reasonable debut. Seems to lack aggression, can't stay on his feet and is hesitant in his decision making.
-
Letter from Brad Green
It's blindingly obvious to most media commentators & our supporters that the appalling match day coaching is costing the team dearly and this is being ignored.
-
How did we get here? Is it your fault?
The Board failed to have a proper succession plan, failed to oversee the executive & the Football Dpt & wasted a lot of time & $$ fighting off reasonable requests by Peter Lawrence. They were in charge & bear a large portion of responsibility for our current situation.

Time to go Goody?
And let's not forget Goodwin is arguably the worst match day tactician going round. His failure to pick up unmanned Geelong defenders last week was ludicrous. We may as well have just stopped at the half way mark and handed the ball over to a Geelong player.
-
Time to go Goody?
We've had what one good CEO (Jackson) in about the last 10. The other nine were mostly duds. Our success rate has OT been good.
-
Time to go Goody?
The CEO would have input but coach removal would have to be approved by the Board.

Recruiting - where did it all go wrong
Yes that's what the smart recruiters do. Target a player specific to their needs who might be struggling for game time. Bedford & Meek are prime examples.
-
Recruiting - where did it all go wrong
Didn't think I'd ever agree with you but I do. The trading has been putrid. Consider we let go of Frost, Hunt, Bedford, Jordon, Harmes, Baker & brought in Dunstan, Schache, Hunter, McAdam, Grundy & Billings.
-
Recruiting - where did it all go wrong
The smart recruiters identify young talent that struggles a bit to get regular games ie Bedford, Jordon, Bobby Hill while the dumb recruiters grab 27 or 28 year old hacks who are looking for a bit of superannuation top up.

Time to go Goody?
Really ??? We have no back up key defenders or small defenders. The cupboard is bare of key forwards. No decent back up ruck. The midfield is old & one paced. Or secondary picks & trades in the last few years have taken the list backwards ie Schache, Laurie, McAdam, Billings, Fullerton. But hey it's all good.
