I have 2 great jokes here, but neither of them are appropriate.

ANB was so good on Sunday. In the last quarter he won a one vs 3 on the half back flank, and his kick to set up Chandlers last goal around his body was elite. I think it was the best game from our small forwards all year.

Having just watched Koz and Rankine put on an absolute clinic at the G I’m all in on the value of quick, skilled, energetic small forwards. If JT thinks he’s the best player for us then he’s right. A 2025 forward line of JVR, Jefferson, Watson, Kozzie, Fritsch and Chandler is very, very handy.

I’m watching the replay (because work is for suckers). The game feels like an old fashioned 90’s game, with 2 teams playing with skill and lots of effort on the G. I really rate that game. It was a ripper.

It’s a tendon injury. They are difficult to get right. There’s nothing else to it except that he can’t run at full speed with confidence. Until he can do that he won’t play.

Rankine was fantastic today for Adelaide. His speed from contest is incredible. He’s going to be a great player for them over the next decade. I thought the Crows were great today. They don’t die wondering, they just struggle with expectation - which you can forgive with their list demo.

Goodwin in todays Post Game press conference… ’I’ve said all along we aren’t trying to turn Brodie into a forward, we just want him to have more impact when he is forward’. He also said they really liked his game at Casey yesterday. I have a feeling he’ll be back very soon.

The typical response on here. Never mind that Adelaide was playing for their season. Never mind that a few weeks ago the best team in the comp had the same result at the same ground. Never mind our best player, and best forward, are still out. I thought the Crows were great. Gave it everything, and I thought we won the game back and did some good things to slow the game down when it mattered.

All the Challenge kids with Essendon as they ran out was amazing. The kids looked so happy. It was fantastic.

I saw that and thought ‘Well you would say that Nathan, since you orchestrated the list management that forced them to implode’. It’s not actually that cut throat a business. The media like to present it as such because it helps their narrative. If everyone involved wants it to work, and is currently doing everything they can to make it work, then it’s simply a work in process - 12 games in. I can’t help but think all of this is just driving clicks for a Collingwood narrative about how they made ‘the right call’. Let’s just see come September. The big blokes thrive in finals contests, and I like our hand a lot more than theirs.
