POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 5
The heart beats true replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nope, because I reckon you'd like it and make weird eye contact through the whole thing! -
POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 5

The structure around stoppages is directly linked to the lack of rotations mate. The boys just couldn't get into position because they were shot. -
POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 5

Wow, I can't fathom the lack of 'support' on here. how about I come to your work on Wednesday shatter your coworkers shoulder, and then break another ones ribs, all before lunch, and then Scream at you for not being 100% productive. -

POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 5

Abe, I reckon it does mate. I can't think of a time a team has been 2 down on the bench for a half and won. Let alone one of them the only ruckman in the side. We simply ran out of legs. The boys were just buggered. -
GAME DAY - Round 5, 2017
The heart beats true replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
You still can't tell me the last time a team won a game without 2 players after half time though? -

Super proud to support the club tonight. Almost everything went wrong. Richmond are such pretenders. Couldn't go with us when it was an even competition. -
GAME DAY - Round 5, 2017

Some of you guys are deadset flogs. How many teams win games 2 men down in the modern game? Nothing anyone could have done about that. -
GAME DAY - Round 5, 2017
The heart beats true replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
If you're beating up a team whose played 2 quarters of footy 2 men down and are going to get done by a couple of goals you can [censored] off and support someone else. -
Things I'd Like To Hear In Tonight's Commentary
The heart beats true replied to Demonised's topic in Melbourne Demons
'With the Demons outstanding form this evening, and the incredible announcement at half time of simultaneous breakthroughs in hair loss and obesity treatments it really is a great night to be a middle aged, overweight, balding Melbourne supporter.' -
Angus Brayshaw Concussion Issues
The heart beats true replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
If anyone has a link I'd be interested in seeing it. -
If you think thats good - From last week following an Eagles WIN... I'm either a prophet or I spend my weekends avoiding my family - gifting me a unique knowledge of the game. You decide.

Cats doing just enough to be in the game at 3/4 time and pray for Selwood and Dangerfield to get them over the line in the last. Every f#*king week.
-
Trying to figure out who we want to win this game. I reckon Geelongs a certainty for the 8 so probably them as we'll be fighting St Kilda for spot.

I'm as serious as the meladrama on here after we don't kick straight. ?

Bulldogs must lack leaders, and surely Beverage is under pressure now. Did the Bulldogs get his appointment wrong?

TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 5

I'm thinking it's possibly a team rule issue - not centring the ball continually or something non-negotiable. Shirley!? -
TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 5

Surely Kent's not dropped? Surely? Meanwhile Melkshams body language in the last quarter with the game on the line was atrocious. -
I don't reckon its anymore important than any other game this year. They give out the same 4 points each week. I want to be in the mix in September. How that has to happen I don't mind.

The real problem with the system is the inability to hold it too account without being exposed to more pain. In 2 weeks when a different player from another club does what LeCras did and gets a week his club will still take it on the chin instead of challenging it due to the possibility of an extra week suspension. I simply can't see that being legal long term. At some point a desperate club is not only going to challenge a suspension but challenge the assertion that asking to represent your opinion opens you up to more sanctions. It'll happen in a Final and be dragged out for a month so said player can play in the Finals Series, and then force the AFL to review. Its a miracle it hasn't happened yet.

It's not the losses that I find interesting. It's the way they've lost. They've now only won 1 of their last 8 games.

Luke Hodge has just made a mockery of the MRP 'Player Symptoms' theory. 2 Geelong players reported - one for a sling tackle where Hodge's head hit the ground, and then 10 minutes later an incident where a players elbow makes contact with Hodge's head. Hodge may have delayed concussion. But from which incident? How does that impact suspensions? I hope this proves how stupid the reliance on player reports is.
