  1. They only weren’t prepared to go on THIS record - a record they perceived to be biased. They wanted to go to the Arbitration in Sport, and it looks like they want to go to the Human Rights Commission. They perceive the AFL process to be flawed. The AFL is the same people who run the Tribunal. It’s fair to say that’s not a legal process most agree with.
  2. Journalists must hate Goodwin. He just diffuses everything and only talks about what we can control. It’s painfully boring, and exactly what the club would want from him.
  3. The Zorko report is a disgrace. Players get a week for not tackling correctly, in a split second, while trying to win the ball. Zorko gives away a free kick and then deliberately scratches the players face while he still has his hand around his throat - and gets the same thing. Intention has to mean more than accidental injury in a contact sport.
  4. Incredible round of results. It’s a tight season.
  5. Ummm, that’s your bias. I find it to be glaringly the other way, and it reaches fever pitch after a loss.
  6. That last bit made me laugh Dazzle because I know you were trying to stir me up, but it’s also true. It’s why I keep coming back here, even if I have to wade through a lot of emotional negativity just to get to see how others see the game.
  7. You don’t understand the context of what I said Dazzle. I never said any of what you implied. Everyone is free to say whatever they want - even those who admitted THEY HAVEN’T EVEN BOTHERED TO WATCH YESTERDAY’S GAME, yet want to come on here and write a thesis about what’s wrong with the club.
  8. I agree. This round of footy has proven how tight the competition is. This might the year where doing the simple things well make all the difference.
  9. Who said that? Where? Or is this just you making stuff up again?
  10. Jaded had a rant about a lot of stuff that I never said. I’m happy to discuss the team, and the psychology of sports fans - but I never said, or inferred, anyone was a bad fan. I simply said I have a bias that makes me see a lot of the same negative posters after a loss. I’m sure a lot of other posters also have the same bias that means they see certain posters opinions post loss and think ‘here we go’. I was actually using that statement as a way to relate to you @layzie as a fellow fan, and to highlight how we all see things differently. It’s a shame another poster twisted my words to suit their own negative context - or maybe that’s just my bias talking again ;) I like your style Layzie. Don’t go changing. Call it how you see it ✌️
  11. Did you even read what I said? I never said any of what you spent so long responding to. Sometimes you love an irrational rant Jaded.
  12. If we didn’t win today then literally ever other result works for us.
  13. It’s funny you say that Layz. As a more optimistic supporter I feel like a lot of fans on here love a loss - so they can have a real crack at the club. We all bring our own biases I guess. In the end we all just want success.
  14. I mean, maybe watch the game and then have a rant. Context is everything.
  15. If Demonland was a band ‘Hysterical Neurotica’ would be the title of our greatest hits album.
  16. Well, by Demonland logic Geelong must have fluked last years Premiership?
  17. This place is nuts today! Let’s all talk down when we won the Premiership! That is actually insane.
  18. What a joke. We won that flag in one of the most awe inspiring displays of football brilliance the AFL has ever seen. You can be as annoyed as you want to be about today, but don’t use it to rewrite our history.
  19. The forward separation can’t be blamed on the players. It’s clearly a coaching decision. Fritsch and Koz are the only 2 players who ever get any separation. The other players are coached to stay together.
  20. The way he’s going that probably makes Carlton better.
  21. Yep, and it doesn’t need to be all doom and gloom. It’s super disappointing, but it’s also a fairly pragmatic approach to take when looking at where we currently are. Our bottom 10 players aren’t getting better collectively, there’s just been a few highlights from young guys like McVee and JVR. On the whole we haven’t gotten better, and we’re lacking confidence across the team. Nobody would just finish the job today, they all wanted to give it off. I think we are a finals side, but I think on current form not much more. It’s a shame, but it’s a tough competition and too many of our players haven’t improved enough to lift us further.
