I’m starting to believe. That last quarter was very reminiscent of late ‘21. Fitter, better, for longer. Sound familiar?

I’m in an Uber to the grounds. No trains west of the city today. My Uber driver is a Dees supporter. Doesn’t rate us as a side. How did these people survive the 70’s, 80’s, half the 90’s, and most of this century? I don’t get it. This is the best, most consistent team of my life, by a mile.

2 of their 3 goals came directly from his poor kicking. I think Coaches like him deep and forced to kick. He’s a great mark, but the penetration in his kick is shallow.

Moore’s kicking is his weakness. Force him long down the line and he often gives it back.

ANB was so good on Sunday. In the last quarter he won a one vs 3 on the half back flank, and his kick to set up Chandlers last goal around his body was elite. I think it was the best game from our small forwards all year.

Having just watched Koz and Rankine put on an absolute clinic at the G I’m all in on the value of quick, skilled, energetic small forwards. If JT thinks he’s the best player for us then he’s right. A 2025 forward line of JVR, Jefferson, Watson, Kozzie, Fritsch and Chandler is very, very handy.

I’m watching the replay (because work is for suckers). The game feels like an old fashioned 90’s game, with 2 teams playing with skill and lots of effort on the G. I really rate that game. It was a ripper.

It’s a tendon injury. They are difficult to get right. There’s nothing else to it except that he can’t run at full speed with confidence. Until he can do that he won’t play.

Rankine was fantastic today for Adelaide. His speed from contest is incredible. He’s going to be a great player for them over the next decade. I thought the Crows were great today. They don’t die wondering, they just struggle with expectation - which you can forgive with their list demo.
