How dumb is footy sometimes? Clubs employ a person to stand with giant cards telling the players how many minutes left. It looks like something from a weird Japanese TV show. A middle aged person in full sponsors gear holding a giant paper sign that says ‘90’. Can we get the mascots to do it for a laugh?

Yeah, I agree. On paper it’s not the logical need, but I suspect there’s a bit more going on than we know. Brown might be able to go around again next year, and then we are REALLY light on for height. It might be more about need than we currently know.

I think they’ve handled him dreadfully. Why put this in the public domain? That club stinks. They haven’t known when to put their arm around their players and when to expect more. He’s a first year player in the system. He’s clearly fed up with getting no support and learning very little.

Yze deserves his shot, and it might be nice to have some fresh blood in the coaching department. Our boys are maturing as a group and new energy might be helpful. I don’t think it’s all doom and gloom. It’s actually helping solidify to the players that we are doing a lot right.

St Kilda fans have shown up in the 10’s of hundreds tonight. If we relegated teams they’d go down and never make it back again.

I wonder how Ah Chee feels sitting out this week because of an arbitrary decision that doesn’t take into consideration anything about his specific incident, while watching Cripps get a week to explain himself resulting in his ability to play. This absolutely stinks. I hope a player with a financial interest in playing takes the AFL to court on their concussion protocols, and uses this case as precedent. They protect their money and interests but don’t care about players.

Is this like a filibuster? Are they intending to just talk until Saturday so he can play?

In fairness to that woman - James Harmes as the sub was doing her no favours. He was very oiled up on the bench all game and I imagine she was distracted.

I like the idea, mostly because it seems to be the opposite of the consensus around here. Get in Grundy! If nothing else the game day thread will be filled with fury, finger pointing and rant. So probably not that different.

Our cheer squad couldn’t hold a bullseye to save themselves. They’ve cost us at least 5 losses this year. Another pathetic effort on the weekend. Makes me so mad I’m going to start a thread about it.
