Wisedog: Listen to what Roos says in regard to Watts. We all make way to bigger a deal about him. He fits in the middle somewhere in Melbourne's list. We need him. There were many players on that list that could of been dropped before Watts (game v Swans).

Another difference was Neeld did not have the general confidence from the playing group. He treated the players as school kids and endeavoured to mimic the game style of Collingwood with a hit the boundary line at all costs policy. There was very little "play on" or drawing the opposition and hand balling over the top to loose man. Neeld was a shocker as Coach.

pretty radical indeed. can't see Spencer playing anywhere but Ruck. Can't kick run lead ..can't seem to do anything except TAP which he's not bad it. Can't Tap it for a goal though. If Spencer had an inclination for goal he would of pushed forward and kicked a couple by now. Apart from that doesn't look too bad. A bit sad though.

don't know bout that. Recall one passage of play where Howe was out marked in a one on one by a small guy. Pedo can hardly move and when he does move and mark then he can't kick. He then parades around knowing he'll get picked the following week cos he's a tall (189cm). Kent's not scared of kicking one or Blease for that matter so hopefully both will play. As for our number one ruck man Spencer? has anyone ever seen him take a contested mark and kick a goal or actually run with the ball??

Melbourne are short of goal hungry players. We seem to eager to give it off. Types like Jurrah, Fev..Hope Hulk Hogan is goal hungry!

Fitness isn't the issue. Speed and size are. We are clearly undermanned in both departments. Roos will target both areas next year.

Spencer was ok last week. Tap outs only. He doesn't seem to be able to mark, be a target as a big man should. Haven't seen him actually run. Didn't know about the Grundy one? Dawes and Gillies were mistakes. Dawes has lifetime calf issues. Not all lost. Hogan back will help. Any target will help. I think Pederson gets a game cos he eats his weetbix.
