Melbourne's future is Viney< NJones skipper, Grimes NOT, Jessie Hogan. We carry a glut of ineffective mids. Bail's another. While he occasionally breaks out and kicks a goal it's no where near enough. Viney's GUTS is good to see if little else at this early stage. He will get much better. Matt Jones. He's a mystery. Plays each week and gets a whole lot of the ball but never damaging. Similar to a Cotchin type but not in the same class. Most of our forwards give the impression they're scared of a goal. Any more Farmers, Jurrahs or Davey's out there??

Well just like most around here I'm jumping back on the bandwagon. Puke when I think of the Neeld days. Roos will continue to bring the very best out of the group. Hopefully gone are the days G. Lyon/C Connolly/Healy types have any influence within the decision making processes.

Whatever you think of Byrnes don't forget he comes from a successful culture and this is rubbing off. He CAN kick a goal . Garland must be close and I'd like to see Gawn as a back up for Jamar. J was great. Best game I've seen him play for a long time but he can't go Solo forever and Spencer is a slight worry.
