  1. Seriously, you need a lesson in comprehension...
  2. Early days but I'm not seeing much to enthuse from Jefferson. Just doesn't really get involved.
  3. This was a big problem today...with BBB and Tommy, the Tiges just walked the ball out with ease. There wasn't much forward pressure at all and it needed to start with the senior players.
  4. One thing I would agree with the commentary on today. Tommy looks like he's running in treacle.
  5. Yep, I think that will be the case from now on.
  6. I think Harmes picked and chose when to go a bit a times, but he was pretty good on the whole.
  7. Agree, and it also showed why we can't play both in the same team at senior level.
  8. ...and the field kicking which has cost us time and again.
  9. ...and that's why Tommo isn't playing senior football. why would you open out the goals with a blind handball...
  10. Ben & Tom look a mile off AFL level at the moment. Couldn't run out of sight on a dark night.
  11. I think you're right 'Neil', he doesn't look like hitting a target. The only one who can kick a ball where it's supposed to go is Sestan. ...and he needs to get more of it. Even though the commentator seems to call Sestan for every player she doesn't know the name of.

I'm wondering how much last weeks win took out of the Swans. Playing undermanned in key positions puts a lot of strain on your other players to cover. Their mids looked to be running in quicksand last night...probably the worst game Warner has played and Gulden was continually caught with the ball.

Time for bed and a good book....
  14. That's a very strong line up...
  15. Freo will cite the incident as in play...but it was a bump and it could have been avoided. I'm surprised the Dogs took so long to react. Libba doesn't stay down and it was obvious he was dazed.
  16. Well, the only one I've heard stick up for him is Max so it wouldn't surprise.
  17. Jimmy & Sean were true imports...
  18. They are overly dependent on Bont...the win or lose on his back & it's not a great way to structure up in a team sport.
  19. They really don't know how to use him & I'm happy for them not to figure it out... ...but there was a brief period when he was on ball I think in the 2nd Q that they started to get some control of the game. His ruck work is good thanks to Max but he will never have the opportunity to use it at Freo.
  20. Surely that's their fault...he just took the cash. He didn't have to chase it. He was not the one offering it. They presented him with a golden opportunity. Sometimes that gold is fools gold...
  21. I think in any draft 'Gonzo'...I must admit to not seeing much of him at all but he looks highly speculative. GC have that many picks I guess they can afford that risk but...I don't know.
  22. I think this needs to be looked at with the holding the ball rule. There are no doubt big changes ahead for all contact sports but rules shouldn't be viewed in isolation. What constitutes a legitimate tackle and how/when a player tackled moves the ball on or doesn't needs to be looked as part of the whole. Also gang tackles should be looked at, the pile on is not good optics.

Just had a look at the first half on replay tonight and Gus was by far our best defender, the only one who stood up.

Yes, but it would be amusing if Port turned up to play in Melbourne.
  25. Did you think Jackson spent much time on ball? It appeared to me they wanted to use the advantage they had with Darcy. Be interested in the stats for his time on ball and centre bounce appearances.
