  1. Same old Goodwin...stuck in his ways, doesn't listen, no plan B, can't coach. Oh, wait a minute. We won. Thant can't be right. Fake news.
  2. I think in the end it's going to be about listening to the people. Their vote will count. If they think there are more important issues than getting an AFL team so be it.
  3. Collingwood are probably not far off a similar issue with Murphy at the moment. I think they would be arguing for cap relief...
  4. Could they be looking at him as coverage for Bowey???
  5. 2 interesting games on today and both on at around the same time this evening. Day time snore fests...
  6. Sure to play next week then...
  7. Not at all...we just didn't have players available for that game. BBB, Tommy and Woey all needed a run under the belt plus Pickett wasn't available with suspension. Then add in a couple of injuries. With a fit list maybe Tomo is the only one dropped that may have been picked, but if Disco was available I doubt he would have played either.
  8. Collingwood went well tonight...
  9. The umpires could have a say in this by the end of the game. They gave it a good go at the end of the 3rd...
  10. 35yo next year...
  11. They turn on their own really quickly too... I've heard many a choice word thrown, I guess that happens with all dimwitted supporters. Just that they have more...
  12. I think it likely to be Tommy or BBB, HP an outside chance but probably needs a bit more time. Goody was talking about discussions after training today so will be interesting to see which way it falls.
  13. I think Max needs to show it doesn't effect him in a negative way. If he lifts to another level then I can't see teams trying it on any longer. Unfortunately it works and they will keep doing it. Someone mentioned it and it may have been you 'Red' but if they try and body him he should come in with a raised knee. A few of them around the ribs will soon make you back off. As for around the ground there isn't a lot teammates can do, maybe the odd block here and there. I would definitely look at targeting an opposition player for the same treatment though... The AFL will get sick of the look soon enough and change the rules, that will suit us anyway.
  14. I think we will and have done this but only when we have our forward line back. To me it would be a recipe for disaster with the current line up. We were starting to do it last year when Petty was up and about for a few games.
  15. Read and comprehend what I've said a number of times. I've answered your questions. I get annoyed at your constant misquoting, like where have I ever said we don't have a forward issue?
  16. Let me just put this here...
  17. There is no doubt Jackson has been a big loss... Hogan would be really handy now but I think we did well in the trade. I'm not sure we sold the farm but I get your point.
  18. Yep, but we don't have them or anyone to play those roles at the moment. ...and we didn't have Koz.
  19. Sorry 'kev', but you just can't run a forward line like that at AFL level and expect a positive result against good teams.
  20. Lets start with McAdam, like he's not in our side now he spent a lot of time injured at Adelaide. Ok, we've been through this a lot but you don't want to believe it. We all know there's a problem, the coach, the FD, the fans, the media... The game plan can be argued, it drives me to distraction as well. ...but if we don't have the forwards it's no point opening the game up for opposition rebound. We would get scored heavily against. As much as I hate the game plan, I don't think it's the issue. It's the cattle...you can't put out a forward line of Schache, Chandler, Laurie & Spargo and expect big scores. ...but the options weren't really there. Every time we've come up with something that looks to work injury has struck us down. Petty straightens us up, McAdam will be a help and I reckon Tholstrup will be a beauty. Kozzy cost us big time the other night. The game plan will change when we get the forward mix right. Bringing Salem into the midfield mix will also be a big help, but again injury (Bowey) might torpedo this. I sure hope we persist. We're not refusing to acknowledge there is a problem, as you say Goody himself acknowledges it to the point of boredom.
  21. Not sure we've sold the farm in early draft picks. We've been pretty successful. Weid is the only top 10 KPF of recent times that's been a bust.
  22. I suggest pretty much everyone on here knows there is a problem. The coach knows it, the FD knows it. As for the headline about us refusing to address it, I would say that's a crock. We've tried a raft of things to address it, some have been successful for short periods, others not. Injury & unavailability has been a big part of the problem...along with unavailable options of players to poach from elsewhere. That is not refusing to address the problem.
