He's probably still the best lock down defender of small/medium forwards in the game. Must be hard to get a kick on him....

    English teacher?
  3. That's true, that's why I would spread the risk rather than putting all our eggs in the pick 1 basket... Clary and the Bont for instance were both pick 4's...

Don't laugh Ed, I think there were a couple of dubious magpie tosses (along with a lot of 'ers' of course) yesterday...
  5. Forgot about that one 'BB', you're spot on. Time to bank talent also with the hope a few father/sons come good as well
  6. We will get an A+ grader at our first pick. I agree with 'adonski' that we should be trying for 2 top 10 picks.
  7. I wouldn't give up 3 first round picks for any player who is only an injury away from being a bust. This is supposed to be a strong draft. Spread the investment lads.
  8. Money for jam...they really should be held to account. $3m would be handy development money in local football.
  9. Is this the same Corn that was up in arms about the treatment of Horne Francis
  10. I suppose they employed an eminent consulting firm who carried out an exhaustive search & they come up with the bloke in the next office again... Who would of guessed???
  11. I'm shocked!

I was waiting for the... ...but this week. Alas, no...we miss again. I guess we will have to wait for Goody and Max to lift the cup.

We have a bit of work on our forward half yet plus our defence is not ticking along at all. So we have time to sort it and we're nicely placed. Of their missing players, most are not going to be a big upgrade except for Howe and there is no guarantee he makes it back. They bat pretty deep with players that fit their game style. Adams and Merritt cancelled each other out today although I think Merritt was a bigger loss as EFC have skill deficiencies all around the ground. Losing Laverde during the game also hurt EFC. September is a long way off. If we make top 4 we will be hard to beat this year but as I say, it's a long way off.
  14. 'joeboy' - was getting concerned
  15. We might also have missed out on Trac & Brayshaw. The Frawley compo pick was one of the keys to our Premiership win
  16. The Big Question is Where is 'Joeboy'??????
  17. I think the problem today was both Tommy & BBB playing in the same forward line. It really magnified the issue...they were both so slow. It's more likely we will see Ben back but only if he can get some mobility. I doubt we will see both back in at the same time.
  18. She really struggled but I guess you've got to start somewhere...
  19. It was pretty funny when he kicked it to Sestan...
  20. Not yet, but needs a bit more time in there to develop. I hope they push his midfield minutes up a bit as it gives us some more versatility.
  21. Has he missed or could he come in as sub... He was one that was really missed today as he does use the ball well.
  22. I'd put Turner in there as well...particularly the last Q he was throwing himself at everything and showed some urgency.
  23. I think that was pretty obvious today...JVR already gives us a better aerial contest and is better defensively. Looks like Petty might have the forward gig until we can find someone else. Turner would be the next up after today I would think, probably would have played if the Tiges didn't have injuries to talls.
  24. Of course you are right there...and that's part of what bothers me. To make it as an AFL KPF you really have to back yourself in. You really need that confidence that you are the man... Senior player or not, he is playing for his football life and needs to take the opportunity otherwise end up like Lucas Cook...nice guy, could play a bit but not cut out for it. He's going to be an interesting watch.
