Point being, if I can talk on WCW’s behalf, is no one knows what was occurring with Grundy and the club during this time. Others have claimed his non selection was sole reason why the club did not beat the Pies and Blues, or at least, a really bad choice by Goodwin…

Very smart, charismatic and articulate man is Grundy. I like him. Is his version honest? Some on hear are listening and interpreting this story to suit their own agenda. Recollections may vary to quote a great women.

I will place my trust in JT. He has the skill to see past who will become an AFL player, particularly with pick 6 and 11. If it’s Sanders I’ll trust he is the man. As long as he is given the free rein to pick best available.

FWIW, Max does have ruck back up. Fullerton and Schache. Some may not like these options but this is how the club has managed this part of the list. The one year extension to Schache’s contract is for a ruck/fwd back up. -
This guy has Hird, Fyfe, Fritta, Lever, Matthews, Lockett, Carey, Flower, Hawkins (cats and dogs version) vibes to him. Will be better than Whitten!

Great win by our girls, but the culture in the men’s team can definitely be questioned.

Curious as to why OMc is being ridiculed here. Good luck big fella, hope you get to 100 games.

Yep, and May plays like a 2 meter beast.

Well it is heyfever season 😜

Recruiters and coaches don’t worry themselves over a couple of centre meters. They look at the ability to play a position, their skill level, and their attitude/character. JVR and May stand at 193 cms. Cripps is 195cms.

From memory, Curnow had some issue with police… in his draft year. It may have been drinking driving. He dropped down the order as a result.

Insightful you are, Obi-Wan

Simplistic once again WYL. Put some thought into the sponsorship, developing local talent and the drafting possibilities. We are becoming a big club despite the decades of being in the wilderness. We live in a national league and should compete on a bigger scale outside our city, Melbourne. I suggest the club knows better and will do what’s best for primarily for our success on field and off Chin up…

Hawthorn did alright and won 3 premierships being in Tasmania. We won a premiership too, in 2021 This are just a little more complicated……… WYL…..

All reports on McAdam is he has a very good defensive game. Fullerton is an agile tall who can provide good defensive pressure as well. Not sure much will change defensively, it’s what the game plan is built on. McAdam in particular gives the team a more attacking option and X factor..

It could end up being a last round million dollar play off between the MFC and Lions womens game. A high stakes game

Is this true? If so, it’s very funny yet very wrong!!

I just had a look at JT’s draft history with talls. It is not as bad as some point out. JVR, Petty and LJ are stand out wins. The only big miss I can see is Weid. The rest have been speculative picks used with late draft picks. Trading in May, BBB, Thommo and Lever and having Max and TMac on the list when he arrived has meant there was little need to draft many talls.

Is Petty leaving? Has May announced his retirement?
