  1. Saviour the moment. Seize the day. We have a full week to analyse.
  2. Let’s just celebrate a win, rather than look at Spargo’s and Laurie’s performance last week. Sydney are a better team and the conditions were much different.
  3. Clarry was epic today. His disposal had an extra element today. I can’t remember a long high kick going forward…. TMac was surprisingly solid today. I had forgotten his defensive capabilities. Chandler was massive today. He may have kicked 3 goals, but it’s his defensive terrier like acts that make him impressive. He will have quiet days, but is always busy, defensive and a contributor. Howes will be a player. A less mobile BBB is better than Schache.
  4. Totes agree. The club and supporters are followers in too many areas and wait for something to happen. We are too PC and wanting to be liked rather than respected. Being asked to be louder in 2022 is seen as offensive. Maybe we were not creating an energy fitting of lifting our players to be better in a finals series. Maybe we were mirroring what the players were projecting in field. It was not good enough either way. the MCG was flat lining that night, no doubt. The club stood back with Gus and his health. We allowed a narrative for the Filth to be seen as victims as Maynard may miss finals. Eddie showed his passion. I hated it, but it has to be respected. The club stood back in his retirement when Gus mentioned the Maynard incident being a big factor to him retiring early. Have not heard the club going hard for a club history making Premiership player losing his passion and job. Is the club too worried about aligning itself with the AFL and the concussion legal issues? If so, in the process, Gus gets light weight backing from the club. Not a way to treat of club champions. I don’t wanna be so disrespectful as Eddie and the filth, but I want more from the club in making a point of view other than backing our coach being subject to gambling and drug taking rumours.
  5. TMac could be Tommo’s replacement. This doesn’t give me anymore security, but would keep the 3 tall structure. My head is scratching red raw like allergies in Autumn. 😳
  6. BBB? Are the selection committee being as desperate as supporters wanting a tall KPF for the sake of having a tall KPF? Has BBB been on the training track?
  7. I got a full refund from Uber Eats after waiting an eternity for my food to be delivered from the restaurant to my door, as my food was stone cold. Thought it was a winner. As a result of that complaint, at the slightest delay to getting a delivery person, my orders get cancelled. Now, I'm not so lazy and get off my [censored] and buy the same food for much cheaper direct from the restaurant The Morale to this story, swings and roundabouts. 😳😳🤩🤩🤓🤓
  8. On last years standings, we are statistically (AFL ladder) no worse off. 😳😬🤩😂
  9. Aaaannd, let his footy do the talking. He ain’t a shrinking violet on field
  10. Damn, hot happy, McKay is a Maynard, AnB useless, Schache is useless/weak, what is going on? 🤪😂🤪😂 I'm liking our system, kicking forward to advantage and keeping defensive structure
  11. Not so sure about the worry in the midfield. Our A game is Trac, Viney and Clarry. That is top shelf in any era! Harmes, JJ and Dunstan were never much of a back up. Serviceable at best. Caveat here is Harmes. He was very good when he was on. We have a good level of developing players in Rivers, Woe, Laurie, Windsor, Bowey and Judd who can play a role when needed. A pinch hitter in Pickett and Salem who can turn a game. A tagger in ANB with the right match up. the weakness is foot skills. Not personal.
  12. I’d think the club is taking a longer term view to the loss of Gus. We can’t replace him with a player of any worth this late in the season, or next season. At least replace him with a player thru trade or the draft at season’s end
  13. It seems to me our running patterns contribute to poor play and disposal. Today’s was all about trying to run thru the middle and play Collingwood chaos type football. It's seems there is method in chaos play we have no idea about. We run into trouble too often, over use, and don’t assess when it’s time to pull the trigger on this chaos type play. It’s one thing to run thru the middle in packs, it’s another thing to have options up forward or forward of the play. In 2021 we did this very well and appropriately. Case in point Bang, bang, bang.
  14. Well said Layzie, and I agree in many parts. We lost our best player in Clarry and our midfield functioned just fine without him. Our midfield is strong and can function without such a big loss, just like the filth. Our forward line was always our weakest line on the ground. We lost BBB and TMac. Some may say not our best players but they were our best option historically up forward. We lost and regained our best fwd in Fritta. Easily the best mid fwd in the game. He came back at much less than 100% and performed admirably. He is arguably the most under rated man in the AFL, and possibly around here too. JVR had an outstanding year for a man playing his first year in the big league. We lost him too. Petty is our best swing man and could become a top 10% player in the game (maybe higher). He was lost. The club didn’t just lose a player, or two players. They lost 5 best players in an area of the game we need 6 players to play. We were decimated. More than just unlucky.
  15. We are all ‘diehard and passionate’ supporters, but we all don’t harp on about the same thing then continually harp on with retorts saying the same thing over and over again SWL also brings some great things to this site, therefore he isn’t ‘blocked’
  16. Yep, Yze had a career goal to stay an assistant and not coach one of the biggest sporting clubs in the country. STFUuuuuuuuuuuP
  17. There are not enough superlatives to describe this mammoth of a man. Massive man crush on Max.
  18. Historically I was not a fan, but loved his year last year. Maybe i was missing his contribution in years past.
  19. Not Koszzie’s best year, but his input was valuable. When you set the bar high, it’s hard to break the a high glass ceiling. Bigger and better years to come.
  20. Thank you. Whatever it takes. Peace and tranquility ✌️
