  1. Some of those guys were injured during pre-season and NAB, you may want to check your facts first before using them in argument
  2. Regardless of no-one taking Grundy ahead of us, why would we take him when we don't need him? We are better off taking the 3rd and possibly 4th best mid in the draft.
  3. Davey is already on big coin, it would more likely be cloke vs Davey and Moloney
  4. Pick 4 for Boak would almost be a straight trade of Toumpas for Boak Think id prefer Toumpas to be honest....
  5. I would rather a Cloke over a Petterd/Bate/Magner/Dunn combo anyday. You need to understand that the reason his coin sounds so high is because WE PAY NOTHING TO COLLINGWOOD. If we were trading with collingwood there is no way Cloke's coin would be so high.
  6. I would hate this out-come No Stringer, Wines or Toumpas but we take another ruckman?? No way!
  7. Well Toumpas will most likely get drafted in picks 3 and 4 if we have those as Whitfield is touted as being a clear number #1 and GWS are in desperate need of a good ruckmand Grundy. But yeah there is a risk to it, just thought that it wouldn't hurt as a sweetener for Boak to pass on him as currently Port would have the next pick after ours.
  8. If we get him it would mean we have potentially scored 2 KPF and lost just a number #12 draft pick. I think the fact that the Dees need to give up nothing to Collingwood for him is what's raising his value.
  9. Anyone remember that quote by Eddie 'We are not like Melbourne where you can take players as you like'
  10. Hogan sounds alot like Patton from what I have read. I want both though i know that is highly unlikely.
  11. Some fella got 6 goals for Casey last weekend, think his name was Green
  12. Similair type of thread to the 'How good was Natanui this week' thread i pressume
  13. We would get Wines or Stringer instead. So we would get Boak and Wines. Might be a big reason why Port would want our earlier pick to pick-up the SA fella Toumpas.
  14. Pick 13, a pass on Toumpas should hopefully seal the deal.
  15. lol @ how much freo would hate us, taking both of there potential power forwards they were chasing.
  16. Read that port adelaide are keen on Toumpas, maybe us passing on him in the ND could be part of a potential trade deal.
  17. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/more-news/melbourne-essendon-ready-to-fight-geelong-for-travis-boak/story-e6frf9jf-1226422063305?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+HeraldSunAflMelbourne+%28Herald+Sun+|+AFL+-+Melbourne%29 'Melbourne has more room in there salary cap then just about any other team'
  18. Imagine them with 2 first round compo picks and a million spare bucks in the salary cap. Does any1 know if they get there compo picks before trade week? If they do then they could use them to trump us on other potential deals such as going for the 17 yr olds
  19. Pies could be trying to drive up his value also so that they get better compo
  20. Its not hard to understand mate.....really maybe try harder.
  21. His free in a sence that no draft picks need to be lost to bolster the forward line. I honestly would have preferred going for hogan and working with him and i still hope we do. Power forwards are a dime a dozen whole there is an abudance of mids out there waiting to be drafted. I like this play by the dees.
  22. Is it me or does jack watts look like his limping
  23. We would need to come last on the ladder to be able to do that. As it would mean Viney would need to enter the PSD with us having the first pick.
  24. Essendons first available pick will probably be in the 30s with there first rounder going to Daniher. Doubt they'd get Caddy for that
