Tyson is good and tries hard but he will never have the x factor and ability to turn the tide of a game the way Kelly will. Salem struggles to get a touch. Has he had any games where he has reached double digit posessions?

Its the difference between trading J kelly for Tyson and Salem or Vince and Kelly for Tyson and Salem. It was not 2 for 1 and people got to get that through theyre heads

2nd round pick is significant, your kidding yourself if you think elsewise. Dont get me started on what players the game has which were 2nd round picks.

Twist it how you like. I counted 2 picks and counted we got back 2 players. An 11 pick upgrade is hardly worth completly discounting our 2nd pick was part of the deal.

1 first rounder pick wont get us too much, we ll need some currency and Howe is great currency. Teams wont give us up good players for Blease Strauss or Tapscott unfortunately

I would put Howe on the trade table. Good player but more of a nice to have. GWS would pay overs for him.

If Frawley leaves and we have a bad year we could potentially be looking at 3 first round picks. If we come last picks 1 2 and 3 could be ours.

Good argument but end of the day I don't think he would be as bang-for-buck as Eddie. I remember Carlton were asking their players to take pay-cuts last year so they could try get Cloke. The more pressure put on them financially the better.

And will be cheaper, is a Free agent and fills a hole in our list. I dont see rioli as fililng a gap as he will just be another mid/forward which we already have plenty of (Sylvia, Blease, Howe, Kent, Tapscott, Davey, Toumpas ect)

Personally I rate Betts higher then Rioli, he gets more goals and has less injuries.

We did well last year so I am sure we ll do well again. We don't have much to lose and alot to gain this year really. We should also try to leverage a trade using Sylvia.

Arguably the best small forward in the game. He is a FA end of this year and is only 26, with Davey most likely calling it a day at the end of this season I think that we should make a play for him. He would fill a gaping hole and would give us one of the most dangerous forward lines in the game with Hogan, Dawes, Clark, Betts with some of our quick mids resting. Even if we don't get him we can force Carlton to pay overs, make them regret paying Mclean what they do.
