  1. Think we only play GC once, GWS once and Port. So thats 3 games we'll win at best. Port also still play GWS once.
  2. Doubt we ll above behind the bulldogs, they are 3 games and percentage clear of us.
  3. Gys for Boak swap wouldn't be fair for Port. A player who has spent a majority of his year playing at Casey in a team thats ranked 16th on the ladder in return for your teams best mid/clearance player? Unfortunately I dont think teams give much credit to 'potential' when trading.
  4. Yeah its to hard this, lol, I realized there was flaws in the mix. I was just playing around to see how feasible it would actually be for the sake of whoever suggested it. In the end I don't think the 3 way is very feasible at all. I would rather use our pick 12 on a Garlett or Kennedy from the draft.
  5. This year has been pretty much an 18 month long pre-season with 22 practice matches MFC hasn't cared to much about winning/losing and have been more focused on teaching the players defensive structures and working on their fitness base.
  6. Actually its to hard to work out something fair here
  7. I wouldnt mind motlop though. How about We give: Pick 4 We get: Motlop and pick 7 Geelong gives: Motlop, Pick 15 Geelong gets: Boak Port gives: Boak, Pick 7 Port gets: Pick 15 and Pick 4 or are we getting to good of a deal?
  8. I dont think they would accept pick 12, especially since we publicly said that we were willing to give up pick #4 And we have no quality players to send over to Port. If we dont value them, they wont (So count out Petterd, Bennell, Dunn ect)
  9. Pick 4 for motlop? Hmmm, think I would prefer Toumpas
  10. What could the cats possibly trade for Boak? They would need to give up something like Stringer + there first rounder (Which my guess would be about pick 15)
  11. He doesn't think its worth busting there chops through fitness tests and such for just a game or 2.
  12. If Evans is not injured again I want to see him get a call up Same goes for Cook, they both need a feel of AFL before the seasons out. Just so they can see the standard and know what they are busting there chops for over summer to prepare for.
  13. Honestly I wouldn't be overly surprised if there is alot more to this LJ story then what we are told. Honestly 1 game in a year? A wrist injury that took 10 months to heal? Now an ankle injury that said 2-4 weeks, 8 weeks ago? There is allot more to the story then what we are being told I would say, and I think it is a good thing if the club are hiding alot of info about it. I even wouldn't rule out a surprise delist on him. (Dont ask me why but something just isn't right)
  14. Who are the top 13 - 14 kids meant to be? Who are the worst possible picks that would still be in the mix at 13? I am really hoping we can do a good trade deal to get rid of our 3rd rounder and a player and score another 2nd round pick
  15. This reply about Dunn gave me a chuckle. He is AA but I honestly think that our recruiting resources should focus on what we need, and thats Mids Mids and maybe a link up player. I really do not think its worth the effort having meetings and trying to negotiate for out of contract defenders. Our defense is fine, especially now with young Tom Mac
  16. Harry O isnt worth the effort of the meeting needed to get him
  17. This sounds like a good scenario actually. Only thing I would change is that I would prefer a pick upgrade rather then an additional pick. Quality over quantity. Would also mean 1 less person to delist.
  18. Am i the only one who thinks Joel Mc should be retained? His filled a gap in the backline most of the year and busts his balls and always creates a contest. I hope we keep him
  19. Thats fair enough. My point being is that I think he can earn possibly close to double that if his manager played his cards right.
  20. Pick #4, not pick #3
  21. 1.1mil over 3 years isn't exactly big big money. It is just under 370k a year. Wellingham is the type of player I hopes Petterd would evolve into....
  22. Here is a bit of insight into how they are thinking about the off season http://www.melbournefc.com.au/tabid/7415/default.aspx?newsid=141803 For those who are feeling like analyzing it a bit.
  23. Im not disagreeing with you about Tapscotts abilities there mate, he is a top player which is why another club would give up something also of value in return. Everyone has their favorites and you can always do a write up of good things about them but at the end of the day we may end up needing to trade off or delist some peoples favorite player for the bigger picture. Im not saying that we SHOULD trade him. I am saying that i think it would be a reasonable trade which could benefit both parties involved. End of the day we are 16th so some changes to the list will be made whether any of us demonlanders like it or not.
