Tick tock tick tock... Neeld has 16 matches to improve
olisik replied to bandicoot's topic in Melbourne Demons
You seem to have some sort of agenda against Neeld. Every post I see from you is calling from his head. I take it your a Bailey supporter? Because if you arn't then you just may like seeing a new coach for the team every 9 months and expect a major turn around. -
Could be a chance for Cook

Our list thins further
-
I think one of our teams biggest issue is that we have no god damn chemistry between any of the players. Everyone talks about talent, skills, culture ect but one of the biggest thing our team needs is chemistry. It would be nice for players to know exactly where the team mates are by instinct for example

I dis-agree, I think we have the wrong tools for the job. The quality of the tools is better suited for work in the VFL
-
I am sure any tradesman would blame his tools when they are constantly breaking Low Quality tools = Low Quality jobs. Haven't you ever tried to slice through a steak with a butter knife before?
-
Isnt O'Rourke a goal kicking forward? Why would we take a ruckman to do that when O'Rourke may be available
-
This is why our midfield is so bad. People seem to think that if someone works hard that they should be on our list. Honestly I would prefer a Sylvia, who dosn't work as hard but has a heap of talent over someone like Couch who lacks the talent but busts his chops. Reason for that is that Sylvia has a higher ceiling that he can move into. You can motivate a Sylvia to work hard and reach higher levels but a Couch type of player will hit his ceiling of potential alot sooner then a Sylvia. I do not see how stocking up on players with lower talent/potential ceilings will help us win a premiership regardless of how hard they work.

I think Evans plays differently to the others. I actually see a bit of Pendles in Evans. And to rpfc, we also have a limited amount of players who can fit on our rookie list, so we don't just throw anyone on it. We want players who we think have the potential to be groomed into players who can get a spot on our senior list. I would rather do something like demote Petterd to the rookie list and remove Couch from the rookie list for example.
-
Meant no dis-respect, I just honestly don't think that he is up to AFL standard.
-
I think Green will play on, he has put his body on his line, kicked some goals and made a contest, and encouraged others to work hard this year. It would be foolish to do a J Mac on him. Let the guy play out his career and retire on his own terms. His on the vet list anyway so isn't taking a space away from the main list. He didn't even kick up a fuss over a 1 year contract, Brads always taken it under the chin.
-
I dont think Couch should remain on the list. I have always had the feeling that he only got a shot because of his old man and that he knew Neeld on a more personal level. After seeing him run around for 2 weeks in our mid field and make barely any impact I cannot see how it would be worthwhile him keeping his spot. Alot of you may dis-agree but at the end of the day, he is never going to be a premiership mid, and premiership mids is what we need to focus on. That said I think Evans can develop into a premiership mid after watching him at Casey.

Im with you 100% on this one. I also find it fascinating how so many demonlanders stick up for almost every player on our list. Someone suggests to trade someone, then 10 people post back how we shouldn't. With that attitude we'll always have this crop and wont win a thing. I know Jose loves Gysberts, though even I think he'll be on the firing line if he has another injury riddled year next year. It'll be his 4th year. We need players who can get on the park and be active, I know alott of it is badluck, though if a player is injury riddled for 4 years then whose saying their next 4 years wont be the same. We cant just keep waiting for them to come good. End of this year though i think Lawrence, Bate (Will go to another club as FA, hope we get good compensation), Jamar to Vets and Bennell will be gone. 4 Places. I think Petterd and Evans will hold on for another year and I don't think Neeld will oust any seniors.
-
Martin > jamar
-
Love it how these risky players show us how bad the risk playing them actually is
-
Seriously what team is going to want Bennell, Jetta, Joel Mac, Bate or Dunn....
-
Lol, this is the type of thread im meant to start That aside, i think jetta had a good game at casey and with all our injuries and who is actually left that he deserves the call up I am more suprised that cook isnt in the emergencies
-
Who would you cut for him?
-
First round pick and Motlop seems pricy for Boak
-
Yep take it easy, you know, have a few drinks, go for a cruise. Maybe have a crash into a mini cooper dealer. That type of stuff.
-
Will be hard i think to keep. He ll need to break into the seniors and have a cracking game or 2 for a shot I think. The cut needs to come from somewhere and lets face it, Morton isn't going to get cut.

Why is everyone suggesting to trade Spencer but no-one is suggesting Fitzpatrick?
-
I would rather train the Russian into the ground and not play him and tell him 'Russian, we know your right to go but we rather [censored] you now and pass your match payments to Cook, Gysberts and Fitzpatrick who need a run late in the season'. Build up that tank big feller coz you got a big 3 years ahead of you'
