  1. Watts on a wing? T McDonald at CHF? When he gets bigger.....
  2. Thats the major problem isnt it.... The AFL do not want honest people in the system....
  3. They are sore losers, always have been & always will be, especially whilst the ego maniac McGuire is in charge.
  4. Correctamundo.
  5. These Puppets at the top are driving me away from the game. I have never seen anything like it. I cringe when I pick up the paper in the morning. Absolute corruption. Im not just talking about MFC its right across the board. Anyone who follows or listens to Grant Thomas would know, he has been writing some great sories the last 6 months. Here are some articles for you to read, hits the nail on the head most times Thomo. http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/blog.aspx?blogentryid=941074&showcomments=true http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/blog.aspx?blogentryid=955123&showcomments=true http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/blog.aspx?blogentryid=956008&showcomments=true http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/blog.aspx?blogentryid=962792&showcomments=true http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/blog.aspx?blogentryid=983151&showcomments=true http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/blog.aspx?blogentryid=987886&showcomments=true http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/blog.aspx?blogentryid=989376&showcomments=true http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/blog.aspx?blogentryid=992317&showcomments=true Once again... AD GFY!
  6. 1. We advertised the position. Anyone had the right to apply 2. Its not all about Collingwood, Geelong lost one too. 3. It didnt affect the Grand Final 4. Did Eddie play by this motto when he poached Malthouse 5. Neeld wanted to stay and coach the finals, but it was Malthouse who told him to leave. 6. I'd rather get the coach I want than wait for the smorgasboard after the season ends to find a coach. Id accept a fine for the right coach! 7. AFL is introducing free agency - isnt that a type of poaching? 8. AFL is riddled with corruption, they need a big clean out. AD has all his puppets licking the cream off his hands. 9. Integrity? Well AD, why dont you mention Scully? Oh thats right, it was a masterstroke wasnt it.... well you know what, so was us getting Neeld. 10. AD GFY.
  7. I will do that just for you. If one thing I have learnt from Jim it is to treat others how you like to be treated, if someone is doing a good job, let them know.
  8. Im sure he's taken many for the team before though! What goes around comes around!
  9. Yeah its a very peaceful place. I say to people don't knock it until you go for a look, if you then don't like it then fair enough. Probably one of the few places left in Aus where you can drive down to the pub on a Friday night, leave your car outside with the keys left in and unlocked (not good practice) and go back Monday morning and pick it up. Its like a big family - Yes we are all related!!! I have a family that has generations of fishing and logging and that is drawing to a close, I started out fishing but got into the underground mines, which a couple will close down in the next 2-3 years, hence why I had to move away for better opportunities and money, the average wage in Tas is very low. The Tas footy team talk started many years ago, when I was a boy and when everyone thought it would be great to field a team with Alistair Lynch, Darryn Cresswell, the Febeys, Matty Richardson, Andy Lovell, Paul Hudson, Darren Pritchard, Paul Williams, Brendon Gale, Simon Atkins, Jamie Shanahan, Doug Barwick, Graeme Wright (his brother is my lawyer!) etc etc. Back then it would of been ok, but footy has got so much bigger now and probably outgrown the state. Tassie have had some fantastic brave footballers, many who didn't play in the VFL/AFL. Tassie people love their footy but I just think it would be viable. Great place to be and the locals will make you feel welcome.
  10. He got away with that one nicely didn't he. Pure a$$!
  11. It doesnt bother me mate, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Im still proud of him anyway. No he's a little sh!+ head!!
  12. One of many who are no certainty for Round 1. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/131236/default.aspx
  13. The Pies game would be the worst indicator. Both sides had most of their best 22 out.
  14. Yes I thought the same. Two in particular.....
  15. Is that right Scottie?
  16. Wow what a kick in the guts! Oh well means nothing in the scheme of things. You have to earn respect and we are a long way off that so no suprises here.
  17. Yes he is very rude no doubt about it. It was probably a smart move from the AFL not to go through with the Tassie team due to the fact that they are having dramas with their economy still. As we have seen the AFL want return for their investment. Having grown up in Tassie for the first 20 years of my life I have seen it go from a thriving state on Tourism, mining & Professional fishing to a quiet, lonely & desperate state trying to stay afloat. The town I was born at Strahan, used to have have 7 cruise boats and 6 sea planes and is down to 2 & 2 respectively and tourist numbers are dwindling rapidly. People just arent coming to Tas like they used to and jobs are well down. My sisters which are nurses got put off before xmas with no job to go to, one of their partners who was working in the same mine for 30 years was put off, so they moved away and wont return. My father who has been lobster fishing for 52 years is finding it tough, especially with the quota systems and fuel prices. A lot of the younger generation are leaving Tas for better opportunities whilst the older generation/retirees are moving to this sleepy hollow. Thankfully my brother is playing at the Melbourne Football Club, but I cant see him returning. I even moved away for better opportunities with work and money. Tasmania is not often considered when it comes to migrants coming into Australia. It is true that the majority of migrants arrive into Sydney and Melbourne, therefore there is a much greater potential for the game to grow in those areas. Whilst 15 years ago I was all for the Tassie team, now is the wrong time. It will take years for the Tassie economy to get back on track and I cant see an ageing population keeping a team afloat for too long. Even the crowds once at Bellerive for the cricket are very poor now and Tassie people love their cricket. Whilst I think it was the right move by the AFL not to implement a team right now it doesnt excuse Andrew Demetriou for being rude.
  18. I agree and I'd take him. Trouble is I think hes cooked so wouldnt be around for long. Would be very useful this draft as you say.
  19. Well now we have activated both compo's we will most likely try all sorts of tactics, gameplans & player positions all year, that way Neeld can take what he wants out of it, create his own gameplan for 2013 and have a cleanout of players to suit his style and draft accordingly. From what I have seen Neeld is going right back to basics and educating the players from scratch again so I dont expect much this year. I dont think the emphasis will be on making the 8, but getting the right systems in place for an assault in 2013. Neeld will have in mind the lower we finish the better picks we will have, and no Im not saying we will tank, it just takes the pressure off him to do whatever he likes. Personally I think a winning culture in infectous and invaluable but I'm not Mark Neeld and it will be interesting to see how we go about things this year. Most likely finishing well down the ladder but setting the right foundations in place.
  20. Likewise OD. Bugger it, get the bottle back out and enjoy yourself, you only live once!
  21. Funny stuff, I like it. Always have to word it correctly on here!
  22. Yes well they are very winnable games so it will tell us where we are at if we dont put up a decent effort. Knowing Melbourne, we will lose all 4 and then beat WCE in Perth - Ahhh the Dee's!!
  23. I hope you have that vicious thing on a chain by now??
