  1. Theres only one way to stop the media and thats by winning games of football. Until we do, keep expecting the rot and put up with it.
  2. Exactly. Common dog F$#! would tell you that. See my post above. Bring on July.
  3. It all helps I guess.
  4. Likewise mate but I'd hate it even more if we sat back and did nothing.
  5. I saw this elsewhere. Obviously along way off but on current form and I'm being hopeful could we have pick # 1*,2,3, around 12 + Viney as asecond rounder??? Under the new AFL guidelinesI believe we are easily the most worthy to receive a priority pick at seasons end: 'The new system, which is yet to be finalised, will take into account a number of factors. They are: a club's premiership points over a period of years; its percentage over a period of years; any finals appearances in recent seasons; any premierships in recent seasons; and club injury rates in each relevant season.' Our premiership points and percentage have been woeful over a sustained period, zero finals appearances and minimal injuries. Some will say we already have early picks- irrelevant! They relate solely to compensation for Scully and our anticipated lowly finish. Obviously it's too early to be lobbying at this point as many will hope for more wins on the board, however, given the most likely scenario of finishing near the bottom, our club would be derelict in its duty if it does not go hard on this issue. My feeling is we wil win 2 or 3 games finishing 17th or 18th. Combined with previous seasons we MUST be given a priority pick. If we don't I doubt that anyone ever will!
  6. IMO I still remain firm that it was Schwab that wanted the old crew gone. Too much input into the football department. The club had its opportunity to listen to the players and the worst decision they have ever made was to reverse Schwabs sacking. Idiotic and we will pay until hes gone. Players dont trust anymore & will never speak up again as they will be hung out to dry.
  7. Thats what the coach should be doing... Too often we rely on outside emotional influences to get us up. Eg: Stynes, Lyon & others i cant think of. Time to harden the truck up!!
  8. Good post. And yes if Neeld doesnt know by now (5 months of pre season & 8 rounds of AFL) what is going on then he never will.
  9. I reckon they have more chance at first getting off field leaders than on field.... But hopefully bringing those people into the club will attract other on field leaders across. ( Did that make sense!!)
  10. I dont think its the regime, from my understanding they love the fitness side of things, direction and Misson. And its not just the senior players like they always seem to get the blame for everything, for obvious reasons. I think Mark may have gone too hard to early. The saying goes you have to earn respect before you can get it. From my understanding Neeld was quite often missing on the training track all summer, instead got his assistants to pull the strings. Also the fact of the way he is speaking to alot of players has obviously upset a few, theres nothing wrong with a few home truths but to be treated like school kids wasnt the way to go. Nobody likes a control freak. But as I said remove the dead wood, get leaders in on all levels and away we got, it should click!!
  11. Yeah mate spot on. If I were the club I would be seriously chasing Brian Cook and getting leaders into the club on a consistant basis, even if only for a few days a week, whether thats Malthouse, Matthews, Ling, Harley, Carey, Pagan, Blight or whoever to give these players the best and fastest direction to success they need. At years end we will obviously lose some senior players also so go chase blokes with a year or two left even if its a 4th or 5th round pick. Get Black, Stanton, Goddard, Scarlett, Chapman or whoever (not that I think a few of those will come, but you know what I mean). Our club needs leadership and knowledge of success to move forward. Do whatever it takes, even if it comes at a small price financially. We need direction. It is not just the senior players who the coach has lost, but quite a few young and even leadership group players. Im right behind Neeld but something has to give somewhere soon for our club to move on.
  12. I agree Neeld is the right man for the job. They have been training the house down for 5 years!! I hate writing on here but my source, who is also a current player says that Neeld has lost a few players, not just senior players but young ones too and even some LG players also, there are quite a few. As WYL has stated maybe he went a bit too hard too soon. Having said that they are all loving the new fitness regime. Dont shoot the messenger.
  13. Mice on a hampster wheel kinda stuff
  14. What a load of rubbish Don. I know for a fact Mark has lost quite a few players, and it's not just the senior players. Get your head out of the clouds, stop denying & hiding what's going on and fix the friggin problem, if you can't then you and Cam should step down and give someone the jobs that will have a crack.
  15. Haha all we can do is laugh. Any more stress and I will be forced to have a stroke!
  16. That would be no good old dee - they can't tackle!!
  17. For those of us that work away FIFO. Could somebody please write a report of the interview please. It would be very appreciated.
  18. For those that missed it. David Schwarz - http://www.sen.com.au/audioplayer/Audio/David-Schwarz-on-Melbournes-Poor-Form/4663
  19. Its just not funny anymore Im afraid.
  20. Tell us something we dont know Don. But I dont expect him to say too much!
  21. Should be interesting and will most likely get a peppering but I dont expect much to come out on a TV show.
  22. Too much emphasis on chasing and tackling the man and not enough on getting the frigging footy. We are always chasing tail and our disposal is still shocking. At least the desire is there but desire alone don't win games consistently. There needs to be some skill. By the way, Mitch Clark will be a superstar, he's better than I thought.

  24. Faith and hope definitely. This years draft is crucial to us, I really can't wait for it. Anyway all the best and hope we see a demon victory soon, hopefully vs Collingwood!
  25. Yes the media love us no doubt, always guaranteed something from us!! I see your points above, and I must give credit where it's due, but once again I was referring to well before those events. I can't wait until the NAB draft!!!
