There are alot of players at our club who are only in it for the money and not the passion and success. Little boys club. Bunch of pea hearts.

It is the NAB cup. It is in Adelaide. We would be trying things. But.... This is disgraceful, I dont care what anyone says, I have seen enough the last 2 weeks to warrant saying we are in for a very long year.

All Australian CHF in the TAC cup. Has the skills, poise, decision making, strong overhead and sticky hands as well as an accurate boot. Too small for AFL at the moment and is a work in progress. Has put on 5.5kg over this pre season and 10kg overall since being drafted. If Watts doesn't work out, Cook is next in line, but a long road ahead for him. Will benefit from not having Fev at Casey. Had a bad run with injuries and an op late last year. Will be watching him closely as I think he's got the credentials, more than Watts, to play the CHF role.

I did read the "Fin" review WYL. I didnt say he wasnt telling the truth and I agree with waiting. I couldnt care how long it takes really.

He will be a star over there. Will absolutely kill it. As do a few of our rejects. On a serious note, I think we couldve held onto him a bit longer under the new coaching structure. But thats just me.

And then turning it over.... You can get as many clearances as you like but until you start damaging the opposition with your possesion its just another glorified stat.

I think from memory if they on-trade "that pick" it will still be where GWS would of taken it. So a big win for a club high on the ladder.

Summed it up perfectly... Especially the highlighted phrase. Basically thats all we are left with, the AFL and everyone thought it was great compensation but really it isnt, it's going to be hard to get a star or stars with mid round picks even if its a superdraft. For those that care, see 2001 superdraft and tell me how many players you would draft from picks 10-25 ish. Very hit and miss. But at the end of the day its our loss, lets hope the recruiters get it spot on.

The Club is to blame for this stall in Memberships. A week or two ago I posted here in regards to doing my bit for the club. (See my post earlier). I contacted the club in regards to voluntarily going out of my way in my time off to go out and chase new members which we have potential for here in Darwin. I also mentioned to them that quite a few members didn't receive membership renewal packs this year and suggested that this figure could very well be in the thousands. The club thanked me for my support and thought it was a great idea for me to chase new members up here and they would get back to me with an action plan. A couple of weeks have past and numerous emails to the club (approx 5) and still they wont get back to me!! There is only so much I will take and to be honest the novelty has now worn off and I have no desire to help out as the club has made no intention to contact me back. Its this type of attitude from the club that will drive members away and fail to attract fresh blood. Sorry to be negative but this is where our club is at and its a long road ahead. Cheers.
