  1. Thanks to all involved - definitely the AFL best fan site of all.
  2. I wonder when some of these height and weight measurements are done. The height and weight stats for some players varies markedly, especially for key position players and ruckmen. The player in our range who impresses me is Busslinger. I have the feeling that, provided he recovers from his surgery, he could walk into a key defensive position more readily than a Jefferson into a forward line, even at Melbourne. If the club does experiment with Petty as a KPF then Busslinger might be worth a try.
  3. Not yet but the paperwork that will get Bobby Hill to Collingwood is being prepared at the moment.
  4. 6. Steven May 5. Clayton Oliver 4. Bayley Fritsch 3. Jack Viney 2. Christian Petracca 1. Ed Langdon
  5. Wardlaw, Ashcroft shine as No.1 pick contenders show their wares
  6. 6. Clayton Oliver 5. Christian Petracca 4. Tom Sparrow 3. Tom McDonald 2. James Jordon 1. Bailey Fritsch
  7. It’s a Catch 22 situation. If he performs to a high standard, someone else will draft him in the first 40. If not, then he’s available if we want him. Where’s the incentive to develop young players if other clubs gain from the fruits of our labour?
  8. MRP finding Braydon Preuss, GWS GIANTS, has been charged with Striking David Mundy, Fremantle, during the third quarter of the Round Four match between Fremantle and the GWS GIANTS played at Optus Stadium on Saturday April 9, 2022. In summary, he can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea. Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Intentional Conduct, Low Impact, High Contact. The incident was classified as a one-match sanction as a first offence. The player can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.
  9. Don’t forget Corey Ellison.
  10. There are 72 picks left (less any that might be passed on). Plenty of horseflesh to go under the bridge.
  11. Who would take Andrew if not GWS? The supporters of other clubs on various other online sites I’m reading are only lukewarm about him are more interested in the more popular midsized players in the draft. Gold Coast, Fremantle, St Kilda?
  12. But it’s not a matter of whether you like the player but whether you’re making your selection decision based on picking the best player available. That’s no longer the case when people talk of selecting on needs alone or on a vision of what a player might be three or four years down the track.
  13. I don’t think that’s a likely scenario because by 19 GWS doesn’t have any picks left to go before 20 anyway. There’s also a chance that GWS won’t match themselves.
  14. By leaving out Hore and Declase, we will have room for Taj Woewodin. Depending on how things pan out in the draft, we would also have scope to rookie AMW as a Category B but he’s more in the long term speculative development mode.
  15. ESSENDON DELISTS TWO, PART WAYS WITH CULT FIGURE
  16. Thanks - I can see him kicking on the right for starters ...

Is Justin Leppitsch under consideration or was he burned by his experience in Brizvegas when they had a cr@p list?
  18. Great news ... is that state match still available anywhere for viewing?
  19. Did Taj play in the Colts last year as well and if so, how did he go?
  20. So, a minor boost for Melbourne because our first pick is linked with a second round pick traded with the Brisbane Lions last year. As it stands, our first pick in the draft is now number 33.

Quite right but none of that would stop a club (including one of those 7 clubs) from selecting a young up and coming potential ruck star. The only question mark should be whether they have other needs which are more immediate and they think there are better players available.
  22. Luke Beveridge might well be a premiership coach but he’s been completely out of form recently. He would be sweating today on a West Coast revival or at least a close game to keep his team in the top four but they look mentally and physically smashed to me.

Today’s number is 61 but they have a new angle. Another 16 cases were picked up using some rapid processing device and will be included in tomorrow’s figures. It’s really 77. Anyway, after today’s even harsher restrictions are announced, the media will be reporting that even harsher restrictions will be announced tomorrow. I think the AFL clubs should get out of the state by the end of the weekend because we are heading into the direction of NSW.
  24. Too right. Can’t believe that 4 of the 5 teams we play twice are in that top 6. More than a disgrace, it’s a conspiracy.
